Here’s a look back to 1993, showing our large selection of Catnic steel lintels available from the Lichfield branch - a perfect example of how Tippers has always prided itself on high stock levels!
We’ve been long-term stockists of Catnic products, trusted by builders for their quality - and we’re proud to say Catnic lintels are still stocked with us today.

In 2026, Tippers celebrates 110 years in business, a huge milestone for our 5th generation family-owned and independent company. Tippers was founded in 1916 as a builders’ merchant, but our roots in the building materials trade go back even further — to 1888, when the Tipper family operated an Alabaster Gypsum mine in Tutbury!

Proud to support one of Lichfield’s oldest traditions! 👏
Our Lichfield Branch and driver Pete were delighted to support the historic Lichfield Bower yesterday - a tradition dating all the way back to 1147.

We provided one of our lorries free of charge to the 7th Lichfield Scouts, who did a fantastic job transforming it into an incredible float complete with castle turrets! 🏰

A huge well done to all involved for achieving an amazing 3rd Place in the float decoration competition! 🥉
