🚨 Check your box hedges today! 🚨

Box Tree Caterpillar is causing serious damage to box plants across the UK right now.

The first signs are:

🛒 I popped into a supermarket for a few bits and couldn’t help noticing the amount of plastic and cardboard that gets thrown away just so products can sit on a shelf for a few days.

📦 Every tray, sleeve, wrapper and display stand has to be made, transported and then disposed of.

🌍 It’s easy to forget how much waste is created before a product even reaches our basket.

👀 Next time you’re shopping, take a look around and see how much packaging is being used. You might be surprised.

♻️ Please stop encouraging companies to create so much unnecessary waste.

🌸 The smell from this plant is incredible.

Star Jasmine is one of those plants that customers regularly stop to ask about when it’s in flower.

The glossy evergreen foliage looks great all year, but when the flowers appear, the sweet fragrance is something special.

Perfect for fences, walls, pergolas and patios where you can enjoy the scent throughout summer.

🖤 Would you have guessed this was a Hydrangea?

Meet Hydrangea Eclipse – one of the most unusual Hydrangeas we’ve ever stocked.

While most Hydrangeas are known for their green leaves and colourful flowers, Eclipse steals the show with its incredible near-black foliage.

Even before it flowers, it stands out from across the garden and creates a striking contrast in borders and patio containers.

Then, just when you think it couldn’t get any better, masses of vibrant pink and purple flowers appear above the dark leaves.

A real statement plant and definitely one for anyone who likes something a little different.

Paulownia tomentosa is famous for producing some of the largest leaves you’ll find on a hardy tree in the UK.

A young plant can put on incredible growth in a single season, creating huge tropical-looking foliage that instantly transforms a garden.

It’s easy to see why it’s often called the Empress Tree.

The leaves start small in spring but can quickly become absolutely enormous by summer.

🍊 A fruit tree that most people have never heard of…

Meet Eriobotrya japonica, better known as the Loquat.

This evergreen tree produces fragrant winter flowers followed by delicious orange fruits that taste somewhere between apricot, peach and citrus.

Not only is it edible, but its large glossy leaves give gardens a real Mediterranean feel all year round.

It’s one of those plants that always gets people talking when they spot it in the garden.
