🇳🇱 AMSTERDAM | THE FIRST ADVENTURE

What a beautiful day in Amsterdam! Travelled across with which provided a great deal of enjoyment and catering.

🌿 My absolute joy came when I visited
Full of tulips which made my day, along with various garden rooms to get lost in.

Amsterdam was everything I thought it would be a more. It made me stop in my tracks plenty of times. The low noise pollution allows you to enjoy the calming flow of walking around the rich streets and canals.

🌷 And to commemorate the occasion, I got a tattoo of a tulip! Thank you 🇮🇹 Hopefully the start of a botanical sleeve journey on my right arm!

Looking forward to going back!

🟢 READY

The thought of feeling relaxed in body and mind. Small worries are popped onto the shelf. Breaking away from heavier thoughts that usually roll the days away. The life of a teacher is a rewarding one, though it takes its toll in various ways. Yet I'm immersed into the notion of teaching amazing kids about the wonders of the outdoor world - past present and future.

But - and I always hate starting a sentence with a 'but' - I also expect to teach myself so much about life, the joys and the moments I need to switch off. Many people on Instagram, in day to day away from the teaching world and within it, have given me various inspirations to negotiate with my thoughts. I have many dreams, to write, to design gårdens, to travel, to share wonderful memories with people new and old, to discover new and exciting gardens to blow my garden themed socks off.

I know.

Hopefully you know too, as you are also welcome to dream.

☁️ LIKE BEING IN THE CLOUDS

Always a beautiful walk. Box Hill in Surrey was foggy and fantastical, with lots of great opportunities to take amazing camera shots.

Did you know the difference between mist and fog?
If visibility is less than 10km it can be called mist, if less than 1km it's called fog.

Always makes me feel like climbing into the clouds.

🔵 NIGELLA

Nigella | Nigella Damascena

Nigella is an annual plant in the family Ranunculaceae.

Common names are nigella, devil-in-a-bush or love-in-a-mist 😍

Beautiful flowers and the seed heads are quite something in size when they balloon. This one has popped up in one of the new borders in the back garden, and I'm hoping it will now spread through the border by self-seeding.
