Day 3:
First coat of Helmi Primer from Tikkurila colour matched to Farrow & Ball ‘Oxford Stone’ and island in Otex oil primer from Tikkurila colour matched to Farrow & Ball ‘Brinjal’ this will be sanded back ready for its second coat of primer/undercoat.

Day 2: First coat of primer applied. This shows up all the imperfections which need to be filled. I then sand everything down with 320 grit in my dustless Festool orbital sander. The a second coat will be applied. This gives a really good base for the top coat to go on top of.

Day one! A large Handmade Kitchen of Christchurch and utility room: First day prep, masking up, filling pin holes & vacuuming all the dust. Main run will be in Oxford Stone and island in Brinjal. This will keep me busy!!

A beautiful kitchen made by Handmade Kitchen of Christchurch, hand painted in Oxford Stone by Farrow & Ball colour matched in Tikkurila Intact 8 and oiled insides using Osmo Raw Transparent oil

Here I have applied the first coat of primer using Tikkurila Intact Primer, colour matched to the top coat colour of Farrow & Ball ‘Joa’s White’. Next will be sanding with my festool orbital sander using 320 grit. Then using a two pack wood filler, fill all the gaps and joins to make sure that the surface is level. Wait for the next update!!
