These before and after photos show another recent high quality transformation completed by Silika.

The customer wanted to replace their existing timber stairwell window with a more energy efficient, lower maintenance option. Following a consultation, they decided upon the Residence 9 timber-alternative window. Featuring realistic mortise and tenon-like joints to the frame and sashes, and dimensions which mimic 19th Century timber windows, Residence 9 offers the aesthetic of a timber window but in a low maintenance material. By choosing the triple glazed option, in combination with the highly advanced taping system we use in our installations, the customer now benefits from vastly improved thermally efficiency as well.

Before and after pictures of this properties amazing transformation. The installation consisted of replacing the existing timber windows with energy efficient A-rated PVCu alternatives whilst still retaining a timber aesthetic. The customer decided on a woodgrain foiled colour externally and white internally. In so doing, they retained the look of timber externally whilst obtaining a crisp, bright, contemporary finish internally. Much to the owners’ delight, we were able to replace the existing arched landing window and patio doors in the same colour combination.

Silika is a family business based in Rayleigh, Essex offering an extensive range of superior quality aluminium, composite, PVCu and timber products tailored to your exact requirements and installed to the highest standards.

This installation consisted of bespoke timber windows and bi-folding doors on a Grade II listed cottage backing onto the castle's grounds in Castle Hedingham.

When an existing customer moved into their new home they contacted us to see if we could assist with replacing several timber windows and a set of timber garage doors.

Due to the fact that the cottage, believed to have been built in the 17th Century or earlier, has Grade II listed status, the replacements needed to meet very stringent planning constraints.

By liaising with the county council's Historic Buildings Consultant we were able to provide a specification, together with detailed drawings, which met with the HBC's requirements.

The windows and doors were manufactured by our timber manufacturing partner, Bereco Timber Windows & Doors. ‪As you can see, the difference this has made to the picturesque cottage is remarkable.

This is a before and after of an Aluroll compact insulated roller door that we have installed. By fitting the door behind the brickwork it provided the widest possible clear opening; in addition to a far more secure door.

Installed by Silika recently, this home in Little Waltham has been transformed with Roseview PVCu sliding sash windows and Rehau flush sash doors. Having replaced the existing timber windows and back doors, it now benefits from enhanced thermal efficiency, increased security, and greater noise insulation.
