Summer is a state of space.

When a home begins to breathe more slowly.
When morning light glides across stone, linen, and wood.
When a glass of water on the table feels like a small luxury.

It always feels to me that beautiful interiors sound different in summer.
Less tension.
Less “perfection.”
More life.

Slightly open curtains, warm air, shadows on the floor, books nobody finishes because the evening is too beautiful to stay inside.

Real aesthetics…
They smell like sun, cool marble, and slow evenings

We only have one last week of May, and just 12 weeks of summer.
Enjoy life

We are going from minimalist simplicity to arty spaces. Textures, materials, exotic colors, unique masterpieces
A piece of dopamine in the blood, touching, feelings, hugs…

Now the sofa can have such a soft, pleasant-feeling fabric that it feels like you’re petting your cat…. ☺️

She loved when everything had its place.

Shirts arranged by tone, bags displayed on shelves, shoes lined up in perfect geometry. Her walk-in wardrobe, with its transparent glass doors, looked like a private boutique.

He loved order too.

His version was simply a little more… creative.

Which is exactly why his wardrobe had solid closed fronts. Not because there was anything terrible inside, but because not every creative system needs to be on display every single day.

And honestly, that is the whole point of good design.

Transparent wardrobes are beautiful, if you are ready to live beautifully not only on the outside, but inside every shelf too.

And closed cabinetry is not a compromise. Sometimes it is the most elegant way to let a person simply be themselves.

Design should not only look beautiful.
It should work honestly with the way you actually live.

Why should a modern residence have two kitchens?

When we talk about homes of 300+ sqm, design stops being just a picture.
It becomes the logistics of your comfort.

We are used to thinking of the kitchen as the heart of the home.
But at a high level, this “heart” works better when divided into two parts:
a Show Kitchen and a Prep Kitchen.

Why does this matter?

1. Aesthetics without compromise.
Your main kitchen always looks like a Vogue cover.
No messy chopping boards, no peelings, no pots with broth.
Only a perfect island, a glass of wine, and refined snacks.
2. Smells under control.
Real cooking comes with strong aromas.
A working kitchen with powerful ventilation isolates fried fish, spices, steam —
leaving your living space with nothing but fresh flowers or a beautiful fragrance.
3. Invisible service.
If you have staff, the prep kitchen allows them to cook breakfast or dinner
without entering your personal space.
You see the result, not the process.
4. Rhythm of life.
While tomorrow’s healthy meals are being prepared in the “working” kitchen,
you enjoy your morning coffee in calm, in the “front” one.

Luxury is when everyday life becomes invisible.

What do you think —
are two kitchens a necessity ?

The highlight of Milan Design Week this year, the Borsani apartment in Palazzo Olivazzi, opened to the public for the first time.

This is not just a beautiful apartment. It is one of those rare interiors that reads as a complete work, from the architecture to the furniture, lighting, niches, wood and stone.

The style is mid-century Milanese modernism, with a very refined mix of rationalism, post-war Italian elegance and almost jewellery-like attention to detail. Nothing feels excessive, yet every line knows exactly why it is there.

The special magic of the space lies in the original elements by Osvaldo Borsani: built-in wardrobes, lighting, seating, a stone table with decorative inserts, and a fireplace niche with a bas-relief and two integrated seats. This is an interior where the furniture was born together with the architecture.

An interesting fact, the apartment remained private for many years and had not previously been accessible to the public. So seeing it during Design Week meant standing in a very long queue to enter a closed chapter of Milanese design history.
