when you become so focused on achieving the perfect finish and correcting every tiny detail that you completely forget how much extra time, energy and money the job is costing you.

Exterior refresh in Allerton 🏡

This one needed some real TLC before the fun part could even start — the old paint was in bits, so it was scrape, fill, and repair every hole and crack before a drop of new paint went on. Not the glamorous part of the job, but it’s the part that makes the finish last.

🇩🇪 A little piece of our family adventure ❤️

We’re currently on a road trip from the UK to Croatia 🇭🇷, and this week our journey brought us through beautiful Germany.

One of our favourite stops has been Eibsee — crystal-clear water, incredible mountain views and another beautiful reminder of just how amazing God’s creation is. 🏔️

For us, this trip isn’t only about reaching Croatia. It’s about the journey — exploring new places, spending precious time together as a family, making memories with the kids and being grateful for every day God gives us together.

Germany, you’ve been beautiful. 🇩🇪❤️

Being a dad of four is something I could never fully understand until I lived it.

I never thought that one day, some of my happiest moments would be the simplest ones… like building an IKEA Kallax and having all the kids around me, excited to help, asking questions, passing me pieces and wanting to be part of everything Dad is doing. ❤️

It might take twice as long to build 😂 and sometimes there are more hands than I actually need, but I wouldn’t change these moments for anything.

One day they’ll be grown up, busy with their own lives, and I’ll probably miss the days when they were all around me fighting over who gets to put the next screw in.

So for now, I’m enjoying the chaos, the laughter, the little helpers and every moment we get to build things together.

Because in the end, we’re not just building furniture… we’re building memories. ❤️

You know you’re getting old when you spend 5 minutes looking for that one missing piece…

You check the floor.

You check the box.

You look under the bed.

You move everything around.

You check the box again… because apparently you think it might have magically appeared since the last time you checked. 😂

Then you start questioning yourself…

“Did it even come with the missing piece?”

“Did I accidentally throw it away?”

“Did one of the kids take it?”

You’re about to give up and accept that this piece has disappeared forever…

Then you put your hand in your pocket…

And there it is. 🤦‍♂️😂

It’s been in your pocket the WHOLE TIME.

Yep… that’s when you know you’re getting old. 😂😂
