These locks are mortice type locks, commonly found on wooden front and back exterior doors.
They can be picked open with no damage most of the time and even if they are broke or jammed, one small drill hole in the correct place will usually solve the problem.
I've had a keen interest and studied this type of lock for many years so can help with any problems with them (lost keys, correct key spinning, key snapped / not working etc).

Practicing with a pin and cam pick / decoder to open ERA Fortress BS3621 quickly and effectively. Non destructive methods always used wherever possible.

Wire curtain picking Era BS3621 fortress deadlock in the workshop. Mortice drilling a working lock is last option so lots of practice opening non destructively so as not to leave unnecessary drill holes in door.
