**Cautionary Tale for small businesses in West Lothian**

Almost a year ago I was asked by Deans Bowling Club to put a board up in their green to advertise my business as the new season approached along with other small businesses at a cost of £150 as well as the signage for a year . Now, the amount is not heavy and it’s always a bonus helping out the local clubs but while I help out with their sponsors it’s always good to get the name out there and perhaps get some sort of return or at least an interest but, alas, not to be.

No interest from anyone at or associated with the club. Still, these things happen or maybe everyone involved with the club has new windows or never has a problem with the existing ones that they don’t need my services.

That being said, the board is there, but a friend had the post below pop up on their timeline. As a contributor to their funds I would have at least expected to be offered the chance to quote, but again, no contact .

So just to end this wee tale, If you are a small business in West Lothian and you are asked to sponsor or advertise with this club . Give them a wide berth as the hand is always out with ZERO reciprocation .
