Our Gardening gloves have now officially been hung up!🧤🪴
We would like to thank all of our customers past and present for choosing to shop with us, and thank all of the members of our team over the years, who went above and beyond for both us and our customers.
We’d like to extend a special thanks to Lorraine who also retired this week after a whopping 21 years with us!!
The Garden Centre may now be closed, but you will still see us around. Over the next few days this page will transition its focus to highlighting all of the great businesses and events we have on site.
Once again, thank you for supporting our family business throughout the years.
We can’t wait to see what retirement has in store for us!

Important update:

After 93 years in business by 3 generations of the Veitch family we have made the difficult decision to hang up our gardening gloves and retire as of 31st March 2026.
What started out as a greengrocers in Juniper green in 1933 was then expanded into a florist’s and Garden Centre. In 1996, Ewan relocated the Garden Centre from Juniper Green to its current location in East Calder, where with the help of his wife Lynn, kept the traditional growing processes alive in their onsite nursery, growing and caring for summer bedding plants each year for the last 30 years and creating beautiful Holly Wreaths in the winter seasons.
Although Ewan will no longer be in the Garden Centre advising on everything garden related, you will still see him pottering around the site.

We would like to assure you that all of the other businesses on site will remain open as usual, with some exciting changes coming to the space that the Garden Centre currently occupies. This space will become a Farm Shop, ran by Dewar’s Butchers, that have been a local hit since they opened their doors!

This page will remain active beyond the Garden Centre’s closure, keeping the community up to date with all of the exciting changes to come onsite!

We would like to thank every single one of you for supporting us over the years and we hope to see you all before we finish up on 31st March.
