Another finished media wall on a recent rewire. Rather than LED tape we went for mini spots which work really well here I think. Provision for a sound bar and then the added feature fire really help pull it all together.

How about being able to turn your outside lights on from your house or your car when you arrive home in the dark?! I use a lot of these RF remote kits to switch on car port lights, barn lights, security lights etc. I also fitted an IP rated wireless switch on the post so no conduit or cabling was on show 👌🏻

I recently added these electric column radiators to an existing extension that had no heating. Getting pipes around wasn’t really an option so my client found these which look great and are very good at heating the rooms efficiently.
With a little fishing behind walls / careful drilling and removing skirtings this was achieved with no mess to the current decor.

Hate leads running across your floor? Sometimes it’s possible to retrofit floor sockets like these with no mess. (Or easy if it’s a new build/reiwre) just fitted under a lounge sofa to provide power for laptops/phones and table lamp points switched from the doorway.

The client needed the separate attic hatches and decide we should try and make them into a feature light. With the down inset lighting being switched from the wall as per Normal and the uplighting ( Philips Hue ) working on the app along with the perimeter lighting. There are also remote curtain tracks installed.
Looking forward to showing you the finished room once curtains, tv etc are all in place and the Philips Hue lighting all working in sync.

Here is a lovely article in House & Garden on a beautiful cottage in the Cotswolds I had the pleasure of wiring.
The brief was to make all electrical accessories look as period as possible and where not we were to hide them.
Sockets and table lamp points were installed into the skirtings with paintable fronts. Switches on show are a modern BS stamped dolly switches mounted on hand made distempered wooden pattresses made by the designer Hilton.
Light fittings were made up on site and some converted by myself to suit the room they were to be installed.
I also installed Heatmiser smart heating controls which are hidden and remote sensors used in each room. Even the Aga could be switched on remotely so it was warm and ready to use on arrival.
This job was a joy to work on and the finished house and garden was perfect.

Faced with the daunting task of reviving this 17th-century cottage in the Cotswolds, Ben Adler and Pat Llewellyn enlisted the help of historic building consultant Hilton Marlton. Together, they restored its original features without losing sight of the need to make it a comfortable weekend base

Another house that was an absolute pleasure to work on with the designer Hilton Marlton. It’s just entered the market and I’ll add a link to the particulars should you fancy a look.

I do love working on these period homes 😊

I popped back to this lovely little barn conversion for family visits and Airbnb today. I completed it earlier in the year and fitted smart thermostats incase they ever wanted to make the system work via an app. Today I fitted a hub so it can be controlled with the app from anywhere in the world. Handy if you are not near and wanted to pre warm the property prior to
Arrival or turn down the heating after it’s been vacated.
