🏗️ Project Update – Pembrey

We're pleased to announce that works have now commenced on a project involving structural alterations and the construction of a new balcony at a residential property in Pembrey.

The site has been fully scaffolded, and initial works are underway to expose the existing structure in preparation for the main construction phase. ome 'intersting' detailing being found!

The project is being undertaken by Copefield Construction Ltd, with structural engineering services provided by MW Consult Ltd. We look forward to working closely with the team and sharing further progress updates as the project develops.

Today, our staff attended the “Specifying Vinyl Floors” CPD seminar presented by Sharon Cook from '
The seminar covered a wide range of topics, including what vinyl flooring is made from, the benefits of vinyl flooring, risk assessment considerations, the different vinyl floor options available, and the important role that cleaning and maintenance play in long-term performance.

It was a very informative session and a great opportunity for our team to continue developing their knowledge and keeping up to date with industry best practice.

We’re pleased to share plans for a brand new extension at Sanshirokwai Dojo — a highly valued and well-loved local venue.

The development will deliver a new welcoming entrance, improved waiting areas, and modern changing facilities, all designed to enhance the experience for everyone who trains at, visits, and supports the dojo.

Planning permission has now been successfully approved, and we’re currently progressing with construction stage drawings — moving this exciting project another step forward.

We’re really looking forward to seeing this development come to life.

We’re pleased to share an update on an exciting new development at Horeb, Five Roads, Llanelli.

Plans are in place for a high-quality new dwelling that will provide holiday accommodation, including a dedicated wedding suite and an indoor swimming pool. The property will also be linked to the Waunwyllt Inn, creating a unique destination for both leisure stays and special occasions.

Planning permission has now been secured, and the project is progressing to the building regulations stage.

We look forward to sharing further updates as work continues.

The seminar, “Wet Room Solutions”, explored key topics including BSI requirements, the advantages and limitations of different materials, and the specification of suitable background substrates for tiling. It was a highly informative session, offering both technical insight and practical guidance.

We’re delighted to share that planning permission has been granted for an exciting transformation of a century-old property in Llanelli.

The approved plans include the demolition of a dilapidated garage and outbuildings, making way for a new garage, additional bedrooms, upgraded living spaces, and even a basement cinema room.

These carefully considered additions will revitalise the home, blending its historic character with modern living and giving it the care and attention it deserves.

Works are set to begin this summer, and the whole team is looking forward to seeing the project take shape and sharing progress along the way.

📢 Project Update – Pembrey & Burry Port Harbour
We’re pleased to share that we have recently submitted a planning application on behalf of Pembrey and Burry Port Town Council for an important redevelopment within Burry Port Harbour.
The proposal involves demolishing the dilapidated former MOT building and replacing it with a new Welfare and Storage Facility. This modern facility will provide much‑needed support for the hard‑working Council Staff who help keep the harbour and surrounding areas running smoothly.
Subject to approval, we hope to see the project begin on site in late summer 2026, bringing meaningful improvements to this valued part of the community.
🏗️ A positive step toward a more functional, well‑supported and cared‑for harbour environment.

We are delighted to share that the Section 73 planning application has been approved for the improvement works at WWT Llanelli Wetland Centre 🌿

This exciting project will deliver a brand-new, focused and fully accessible entrance, alongside a striking enhanced façade, a glass feature vision wall, an expanded shop, and improved staff facilities.

Work is expected to begin on site in the coming months, bringing much-needed upgrades to this prestigious and much-loved destination. We’re looking forward to seeing these improvements come to life and enhancing the experience for all visitors 💧

Today our team attended a valuable CPD seminar delivered by JELD-WEN UK: Fire Doorset Specification: Safety, Testing and Whole Life Assurance.

Presented by Mike Shannon, the session covered several important topics, including the differences between fire doors and fire doorsets, the vital role accessories play in performance, and the importance of third-party accreditation schemes when specifying fire doorsets.

It was a really informative session that reinforced best practice and highlighted how crucial correct specification and ongoing assurance is for fire safety.
