🏗️ WE’RE HIRING – ARCHITECTURAL TECHNICIAN

Lewis Partnership is looking for an Architectural Technician to join our dynamic and growing team.

This is a great opportunity for an Architectural Technician or recent graduate looking to develop their career within a supportive and friendly architectural practice.

The role will involve working alongside architects, engineers and clients across a variety of projects, from initial surveys and design through to construction.

The role will include:

Producing architectural and technical drawings using AutoCAD and Revit
Preparing planning and Building Regulations submissions
Producing construction drawings, specifications and schedules
Carrying out site surveys and site visits
Preparing survey, presentation and technical drawings
Liaising with clients and other consultants
Assisting with projects from inception through to completion
Keeping up to date with current construction standards, materials and technologies

We’re looking for someone who has:
✔️ Good technical drawing and architectural design skills
✔️ Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit
✔️ Good attention to detail
✔️ Strong communication skills
✔️ The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
✔️ A proactive and enthusiastic approach
✔️ A willingness to learn and develop

RIBA Approved CPD Seminar – Washroom Design & Specification

Our staff had the pleasure of attending an informative CPD seminar today, presented by Bushboard Washroom Systems and delivered by David Harley.

The session covered a range of important topics relating to washroom design and specification, including material options, cubicle choices, ducting solutions and sanitary-ware.

It was a great opportunity for our team to broaden their knowledge, explore different specification options and keep up to date with the latest developments in washroom design.

Dwelling renovation and new balcony

Project Update – Pembrey

We're pleased to share that works are now nearing completion on the renovation and replacement balcony at this property in Pembrey.

The recent spell of hot weather has certainly made conditions more challenging on site, but the project has continued to progress well, and the finishing touches are now beginning to take shape. It's always rewarding to see a project come together after months of planning and construction.

A special thank you to Copefield Construction Ltd for their excellent workmanship, professionalism and commitment throughout the project. They've delivered a fantastic standard of work, and we look forward to sharing the completed transformation with you very soon.

🏗️ Project Update – Bigyn CP School, Llanelli

It's great to see the excellent progress being made on the new entrance ramp and steps at Bigyn CP School, Llanelli.

With a very tight programme to complete the works during the summer holidays, Martin Taffetsauffer Contractors have made outstanding progress. Remarkably, the project is already well advanced just 10 days after the initial site meeting.

Once complete, the new entrance will provide improved accessibility and a safer, more welcoming arrival for pupils, staff and visitors when the school reopens.

A big thank you to everyone involved for their hard work and commitment to keeping the project on schedule. We look forward to sharing more updates as the project nears completion.

We were delighted to host today's CPD seminar at our office, presented by Altro

The session, Designing with the Generations, explored the evolution of healthcare and education environments over the years and considered how design can respond to the needs of future generations. It was an engaging and thought-provoking presentation, highlighting the importance of creating spaces that are adaptable, inclusive, and fit for the future.

A big thank you to Sharon Cook and Andy Davies for sharing their expertise and delivering such an informative session.

We're always grateful for opportunities to continue learning and bringing fresh ideas into our projects.

Paddling pool repaint

Works have commenced at Parc Howard Outdoor Paddling Pool , Llanelli💦☀️

The refurbishment works are progressing well at Parc Howard, despite the challenging hot weather conditions.

The pool is currently receiving a fresh new coat of paint, while the surrounding paving slabs are being cleaned and refreshed in preparation for the pool reopening for the school summer holidays in July.

The works are being undertaken by Builders of Llanelli, who are working hard to ensure the facility is looking its best and ready for families to enjoy during the summer break.

We look forward to seeing the finished result and welcoming visitors back to this much-loved local facility.
