Another big job completed for us here at T.A.R Thomas on a lovely house with outstanding views and surroundings
We started with a sleeper retainer wall to the boundary and some concrete posts with concrete gravel boards to retain, bringing levels up with type 1 subbase and finishing off with a 50mm screed of stone dust mixed with sand under the artificial grass
Next it was onto grading off a big area with the 3tonne digger putting membrane down with another sleeper retaining wall with a feather edge fence on top before adding over 60 of type 1 subbase to extend the parking area, we also had 16m of pipe to lay to connect up stairs toilets into the septic tank
And then on to the slab for the stables digging foundations then laying the concrete blocks. We then back filled with type 1 subbase with aco channel drains to take away the wash down of the horses, damp proof membrane was added before finished off with a 100mm of concrete
Lastly all posts put in ready to be farmers fenced off for the horses,and then we laid a water pipe and dead electric cable ready to be hooked up at a later date. we then put aconchannel drains continuing from down the side of the house across the drive to catch any flood water again to be tapped into the land drain at a later date
