Today’s excursion involved rigging down and felling of, a large dead multi stemmed walnut tree overhanging the boundary line between two properties in pant. Winds were up.. timber is down, job well done 👍

Lovely day for climbing and rigging some dead and rotten birch trees . These trees had visibly both been pruned wrong previously and likely resulted in them both dying . The one had a really bad case of silver leaf with open pruning wounds and an extremely hollow base ! The other a larger codominant essentially lopped in half with a massive open wound decaying into the main stem and also suffered the same fate . Otherwise could of been 2 nice trees 🤷‍♂️

2 Big yew reductions a day per tree. Lots of climbing this week! Almost 5 tonnes of woodchip trimmed off these chaps.
Cherry picker and hedgecutters in a couple years time on a yearly trim would make these 2 one hell of a garden feature!

Big leggy oak climb Treflach. 20% reduction reduce shading and wind sail over multiple properties and removing overhang from neighbouring property. Scorching 31 degrees. 🥵

Before and after April 2024- after May 2026 - 2 years later. These leggy birch and beech trees benefitted massively from having a 25-30% reduction in height stabilising root plates and preventing snap outs in the canopy. 2 years later these trees are flushed with a positive growth that can be maintained on a long term cycle giving these trees a much longer lease of life than they otherwise would of had

Nice job dismantling and section felling these 2 pines next to the house across the steep bank. Things to avoid include house , underground garage, 2 parked cars, a busy road, outside shed and a wide array of planted shrubs. Very limited options for dropping timber, every inch being precisely felled .
