Morning commute

Ascending a copper Beech to carry out a limb reduction on one side of the canopy. This allowed more light into the garden and prevented the chance of limb failure.

We put in a planning application to carry out the work and liaised with Conwy council.

Pre inspection before work went ahead to check for wildlife activity.

Another pleased client in the bag.

A returning client of ours has an established orchard in Henllan which they planted 10 years ago.

Our client felt the trees were becoming crowded and in need of a good prune.

We could have pruned for fruit production but that was not our objective on this occasion. Instead we chose to formatively prune 20 of the trees for better long term growth and structure.

We chipped the brash using our tracked chipper and put a donut of woodchip around the base of each tree to suppress the grass and retain moister during the summer months.

Needless to say our client was extremely pleased and no doubt the trees will be heavily laden with wonderful apples, pears and damsons next summer. 🍎 🍐

Replicating storm damage in an old oak in Llanfair D.C. This large old oak had been in decline for many years and being adjacent to a road, we were asked to make safe. We removed approximately 6 meters from the canopy overall and used coronet cuts and bore holes to create habitat for wildlife. The tree is now stable and can die gracefully over the next few hundred years while hosting itself to over 300 different invertebrates.
