Our clients asked us to redesign their bungalow to enlarge the link between it and an 70s extension. We created a large open kitchen diner, open to the low level garden room and a large master suite with balcony above.
The entrance was moved from the side to the centre of the house, forming a large double height entrance hall with staircase to the upper floor. Dormers have been added to the front and back elevations allowing an additional bedroom upstairs.
Once finished the house will have changed from a cramped 3 bedroom bungalow to a 5 bedroom home ready for modern family life.
Our client is making good progress on site. We're getting very excited to see it finished soon.

We have just received Planning Permission for a new house.
Our clients had bought a very narrow plot near the sea.
They want to build a house for the weekend and to eventually retire to.
Our clients wanted more emphasis on the West and North Elevations, which are more visible from the street and to keep the other elevations simple.
Sustainability is very important in new builds now. They are planning on installing solar panels on the South elevation, with possibly an air source heat pump.
We are looking forward to getting our teeth into the next stage of the project, which is developing the drawings for a Building Warrant application.

Our clients on this project had come back to Scotland having spent many years living in California. They wanted to bring some of the sense of light and open space to their cottage outside Glasgow.
Originally it was a rabbit warren of small rooms accessed by a long corridor at the back of the property and had no real entrance.
We re modelled the interior and added an extension, to form a large entrance and beautiful airy spaces, which open to the garden.
We hope to get some interior shots soon, which we will share with you, as our client has incredible taste that should be admired.

Beautiful install by Birkwood.
We worked with these guys a few years ago and found them really easy and professional to work with.
Hopefully we will have the opportunity to work with them again soon.
