Nothing beats the comfort of a steaming bowl of homemade stew, especially when it features fresh ingredients straight from the garden! 🍲✨
Today I made Doenjang Jjigae, a deeply savory, traditional Korean soybean paste stew. I loaded mine with tender pork and fresh, crunchy daikon radish and spring onions that I just picked from the garden.
The rich, earthy, umami broth paired with fluffy basmati rice is an absolute match made in heaven. It’s warm, comforting, and packed with flavor. ☺️🍶🍲🍜

Meet the Alpine Strawberry (Fragaria vesca) — the ultimate beginner-friendly garden treat! 🍓👋
I’ve been nurturing these little beauties in a pot, and they are finally ripening into the most beautiful rich red berries.
Fun Botanical Fact: Did you know that the red fleshy part we call the “fruit” is actually just receptacle tissue? The tiny “seeds” on the very outside are actually the plant’s true fruits! Nature is amazing. 🧠🌱
If you have a small space or just want a hardy, easy-to-grow berry that tastes like pure summer, I highly recommend adding Alpine strawberries to your garden collection.

I was expecting a regular strawberry, but my garden decided to give me a whole committee. It’s like five strawberries got stuck in a group huddle and forgot how to separate. Caught this shot on my iPhone and honestly, I’m too intimidated to eat it.
Is it a strawberry cluster? A Franken-berry? An avant-garde art piece? You decide.

From seed to soil to this absolute beauty! 🌱✨ Just pulled this gorgeous, 100% organic kohlrabi from the garden patch. There is honestly nothing better than growing your own food and knowing exactly what went into it.

We harvested these beauties just before the rain arrived. Some are perfectly shaped, some are wonderfully weird, but every single one is organically grown and unbelievably sweet.

Nature doesn’t do factory standards—and that’s exactly why we love it. ❤️

Did you know these garden gems are more than just pretty faces? 🌸✨
I’ve been harvesting my chive blossoms today! They have a lovely, mild onion flavor and are 100% edible. I usually toss mine into fresh summer salads or pickle them to use later in the year, but I know there are so many more ways to use them.

Spent the afternoon in the garden and ended it with a steaming bowl of Doenjang Jjigae. There is nothing quite like the flavor of home-grown organic radishes—sweet, earthy, and pulled just hours ago.

Combined with savory pork, silk tofu, and deep fermented soybean paste, it’s the kind of meal that feels like a warm hug from the inside out. Dinner tonight is proof that the best ingredients aren’t bought; they’re grown. 🥘🥢

the garden gave back. These beautiful, young Daikon radishes are self-seeded and 100% organic. From a “leftover” mother plant to the star of my spicy Korean stew tonight. There is something so rewarding about a harvest you didn’t even have to plant! 🥣🌶️ UrbanGardening
