Summer is here, and so is the heat. ☀️

This is what it's all about... long evenings, lush planting, and a garden that actually invites you outside.

There's something about stepping into nature this time of year. The colours feel brighter, the air smells different, and everything just feels more alive.

Here's to making the most of every moment in it ☺️

The results are in…

Thank you to everyone who voted on the Wandsworth design directions - it's amazing to see how much choice even a small courtyard space can offer, and how differently people read the same garden.

We've gone with Design 1. Here's why:
- Limestone pavers, laid in a herringbone style. The smaller paver helps make the space feel bigger.
- The bench runs along the wall, freeing up room for a large table - perfect for having space to entertain but also personally enjoy.
- Pots and planters in a range of sizes. Some stay put as permanent statement pieces, others can be moved around - giving the clients the flexibility to change the layout whenever the mood (or the season) calls for it.

Budget plays a key role in shaping the final design too. It's never just about the finished garden - site clearance, reworking the existing layout, electrical work and labour all need factoring in, particularly where access is limited and everything has to come through the house.

Small space. Big decisions. This is what happens when every detail earns its place. 🌿

One garden. Three design directions. Which would you choose? 👀

This Wandsworth courtyard garden is currently mid-renovation and we’ve been exploring how to transform a shaded, north-facing space into something really special.

The challenge: minimal direct sunlight, a compact footprint, and Crittall doors that will frame the garden from inside the house. Every decision needs to work as hard visually as it does practically.

Swipe through to see three different directions we could take this space - from the flooring layout to the seating configuration and planting approach.

When we first meet on site, we explore different directions together to understand what feels right - before landing on the one that truly works for the space and the people using it. It’s one of the most exciting parts of the process.

Let us know your favourite design direction in the poll below. 👇

A garden designed around the life you want to live....

Whether you're hosting friends, running around after the kids, unwinding after a long week or carving out a proper wellness space at home - every garden should support the lifestyle you want to lead.

That's why every project begins with a simple question: Not "what do you want it to look like" but "how do you want to use your garden space and how do you want to feel when you're there?

From outdoor kitchens and entertaining terraces to a child friendly garden to garden rooms and sauns - the spaces we're designing now go well beyond the traditional garden. They're spaces to live in, recharge in and enjoy every day. It's also a reconnection with the outdoors and nature on your doorstep.

Swipe through to see how we can approach creating a garden that truly enhances the way you live.👆

In case you missed it… 🌿

My new website has been live for a few weeks now and I'm still so proud of how it's come together - a fresh new look, a new identity, and a proper home for everything I do.

From retraining in garden design to building something I'm genuinely proud of, project by project across South East London. This feels like the right way to mark where things are now and where they're heading next.

Head over for a look at recent projects, services and a little bit about how I work. And if your garden is on your mind, I'd love to hear from you.

If you want to know the story behind A Little Garden of Shared Knowledge - this is the one to watch. 📺

Our Chelsea garden featured on the BBC RHS Chelsea Flower Show coverage, presented by the wonderful - giving a beautiful insight into the concept, the design and what the garden is all about.

A balcony. A retired couple. A lifetime of travel, curiosity and shared knowledge - distilled into one carefully considered space.

So grateful for this moment. Thank you and the BBC for shining a light on the garden.
