SONSOLES PRINT STUDIO IS a fully equipped Open Access screen print studio situated in a friendly warehouse 5 min away from Peckham Rye station in South London. We will be offering:

- OPEN ACCESS facilities for those of you who already know how to screen print.

- WORKSHOPS for beginners or for the rusty ones that need refreshing!

- and CLASSES for those who want to come on a weekly basis and lea

rn ALL about screen printing! Explore how to Screen print- from cut out stencils to 4 colour separation processes, and on any flat surfaces from standard paper to found lino flooring! Come and learn, have fun and most importantly be CREATIVE! For more info please contact us:

Join us for a live demonstration by Cathy Hull, where she will share her screen-printing process and approach to image-making.

Cathy’s work draws on observations of the natural world, translating sketchbook studies, experimental mark-making, and layered colour into bold, expressive prints.

During the session, she will demonstrate elements of her process, offering insight into how her ideas develop from initial drawings through to finished screen prints.

Meet The Artist - Dulwich Festival Artist Open House

Mark is a visual artist creating solely in the medium of screen print. The Politecnico Milan and The New School Paris are just two of the prestigious Universities where Mark has never studied. 

Meet our member Mark, a visual artist working exclusively in the medium of screen print. Born in Croydon, he draws inspiration from his surroundings, keeping his practice grounded in the character and energy of his hometown.

With a playful and self-aware approach, Mark’s work embraces experimentation, currently focusing on a series of striking CMYK prints that explore a range of subjects while testing the full potential of the screen printing process.

Meet The Artist - Dulwich Festival Artist Open House 
 
Andrea Sofía 
Meet our member Andrea Sofía, a dedicated printmaker with an MA in Children’s Book Literature: Children’s Book Illustration from Goldsmiths, University of London. She continues to push the boundaries of her practice through screen printing. As part of her Master’s degree, she undertook the ambitious project of printing an entire illustrated children’s book by hand,demonstrating both technical precision and a deep commitment to the craft.

Andrea consistently challenges herself by increasing the number of colour layers in her work, exploring the complexity and possibilities of the medium. Her latest piece, Chameleon, captures this spirit of experimentation. Inspired by the animal’s ability to camouflage, the work plays with the idea of transformation through print. Seven layers of screen print are carefully built up, one on top of another, creating the illusion of shifting colour and movement,echoing the chameleon’s ever-changing skin.

Meet The Artist at Artist Open House
Lucinda Purkis

Lucinda Purkis is a multi-disciplinary artist based in South-East London, working across drawing, collage, quilting, and writing. Committed to world-building, their practice weaves together personal and collective mythologies, exploring q***r and trans subjectivities, devotional aesthetics, and the city as a heightened symbolic site of dreams and despair. Drawing from poetry, iconography, diaries, and subcultural ephemera, they construct evolving and expansive narratives.

Lucinda Purkis joined Sonsoles as a member in 2025 and they have printed her artworks for her Master Program here. They also contributed to SPS’s Peckham Festival Zine by designing the event key visual interpreting the idea of love expression in all forms. Come to meet them and explore their artworks in vibrant colours and in forms of screen printing, paintings, zines and textile arts.

Meet the Artist At Artist Open House

Isabel Díaz Catoni is a visual artist and printmaker whose practice investigates the architectural identity of the cities she inhabits. Working from her own photography, she explores how public spaces, thresholds, and everyday urban details shape perception and movement.
 
Screenprinting is central to her work. Isabel uses halftone processes, photographic stencils, colour separation, and multiple layers of ink to transform urban imagery into tactile printed compositions. The screenprint process allows her to move between the photographic and the graphic, breaking down the image into tone, pattern, texture, and structure.
 
Her work balances precise technical printmaking with an intuitive approach to composition, drawing attention to rhythm, geometry, and the quiet traces of human presence within the built environment. Through print, she reimagines familiar city spaces as layered, atmospheric images that reflect the transient nature of contemporary urban life.
