Why is hairy bittercress such a successful w**d?

Well, as the clip shows- the seed pods explode in response to motion/contact when they are mature enough. The seeds can be propelled 2m away and can go from seed to seedling in only 4 weeks on average- making several generations per year.

Prevention is better than cure- once the seed heads are visible it is too late and you will almost certainly already have some seeds dispersed. They are very shallow rooted and easy to pull up- get them out before the seed pods are ready!

A lot of common w**ds happen to be superfoods- hairy bittercress is packed with antioxidants and vitamins! So while you’re w**ding help yourself to a free health supplement 😄

When the streetlights come on and you’re still working, 14 hours from leaving home to getting back. Glad to be this busy again, but I won’t be doing days like this every day!

I started my business in Camden Town 10 years ago, I’m no longer living locally- in fact I’m living over an hour away.
I will try and fit my longstanding clients in a day, the ones who have been with me through the ups and downs of life self employed. They’ve looked after me so I will always do my best to continue looking after them.

First test of new petrol pressure washer, my Ego pressure washer got nicked a few weeks back. It was good but had its limits with run time and power for bigger than small jobs.

This Pollor pressure washer is meant as an entry level machine but my god has it got some power! Very very impressed after today’s setup and test. Cleaned up that pathway in minutes.

Not expecting it to last forever but it’s perfect for what I need it for, far surpassing my expectations so far.

An unwanted escallonia Iveyi removed during today’s to do’s.
I later donated this escallonia to a local hero who has been single handedly improving my local area for the last few years. It will be planted in one of the spaces he has been improving to attract pollinators and look great too.
