Happy New Year from Host.

This year we are aiming to share more of our work and design process across LinkedIn and Instagram, so please keep an eye out for updates.

We are particularly looking forward to completing offices (this photo!) on Wimbledon Village High Street in the coming weeks, with photography and further project information to follow.

We also have imminent starts on site, including a basement and extension project in Wimbledon Village, alongside a newly appointed scheme just a short walk from Wimbledon tennis!

Our Old Rectory project in Hertfordshire will complete early this year, delivering a significant upgrade and extension to a detached home and creating a long-term family house.

An ongoing collaboration with is progressing on a project in Notting Hill, and we look forward to developing this further through 2026.

Building on recent experience delivering design-led, small-scale commercial projects, we would be pleased to hear from anyone considering work that may be a good fit.

More project updates soon.

Inspired by Georgian verandahs and porches (with the second image as a precedent), the car port design features a concave metal skirt around the canopy. A raised, cantilevered corner introduces subtle asymmetry, adding visual interest while keeping the structure elegant and functional.

Onto the detailed design & construction!

From concept sketch to RIBA Stage 4 render (swipe right!); a significant step but just one part of the journey in bringing a project to life.

We design in three dimensions, developing models and images like these to ensure every detail is considered long before construction begins. The 3D (BIM) model, images, and detailed drawings evolve in parallel, ensuring seamless coordination and clarity.

These visuals not only help our clients understand the design without needing to read drawings but also ensure the contractor understands the concept beyond the technical details.

This image shows the new reception space which faces onto the High Street. The project includes the conversion of the basement into meeting and staff spaces. The floors above are to be opened up to form flexible, contemporary offices.

We’re lucky to have a wonderful client in and contractor in Glynn Workspace. Watch this space for updates from site over the coming months.

As we head into the festive break, we want to wish all our friends, clients, supporters, and collaborators a happy and relaxing holiday.

2024 has been an incredible year for Host. We’ve been so lucky to work on some amazing projects, celebrating completions, planning successes, and other big milestones along the way.

We’re truly grateful for the opportunities and support we’ve had, none of it would’ve been possible without the amazing people we work with. Thank you for being part of our journey.

Here’s to more exciting moments in 2025. See you in the new year!
