Greatest Hits: Bi is back.

I made these years ago because I couldn’t decide which colour I liked best. Turns out quite a few of you have the same problem.

So for the rest of June, we’re bringing back one of our most loved colour treatments on one of our most loved pieces: the Profumo vase.

Available in three bi-colour combinations and made to order in our Hackney studio.

Only available until 30th June. After that, these colourways are heading back into the archives.

Hosting favourites. Because they’ll happily hold oysters, chips, canapés, ci******es, name cards, keys, jewellery or whatever else ends up floating around at a party.

The most useful pieces are usually the ones that refuse to stick to one job.

And a reminder that ceramics are much more fun when they can look pretty on a shelf at 10am and be carrying crisps by 10pm. The perfect multitaskers.

Last night we gathered a room full of our amazing friends, family, team and all of the people that’ve made Henry Holland Studio what it is today to celebrate our 5th Birthday in style

In my speech I said “to hobbies gone wild” and, honestly, that’s pretty much the story. Five years ago I started making plates at my kitchen table. I’d found something that brought me a ridiculous amount of joy and, in true me fashion, after making approximately two plates I decided this could probably be my new business. Fast forward five years and here we are.

Thank you to everyone who came last night and to everyone who’s supported HHS over the years. Whether you’ve bought a mug, a vase, a lamp, come to a workshop, shared a post or simply cheered us on from afar, it means more than you know.

Here’s to hobbies gone wild and the next five years🥂

This is really just a note to myself.

Whenever I look back at the moments that have shaped my life, they’re usually the ones where I had absolutely no idea what I was doing and did it anyway. There wasn’t some grand plan. Just a feeling that I wanted to make things, see where it went and trust that I’d figure the rest out along the way.
Sometimes that’s gone brilliantly. Sometimes it’s been a complete nightmare. But I’d choose that over wondering “what if?” every single time.

So here’s your reminder, and mine: Back yourself.

There’s something about the combination of soft marbling and warm neutral tones that I keep coming back to. It feels calm without being boring, understated without being plain and somehow manages to look at home on everything from a mug to a side table.

In fact, it’s become one of our core colourways for exactly that reason. You’ll find it across everything from tableware and lighting to mirrors and furniture.

If you’ve ever found yourself wanting pieces with personality, but not necessarily colour, this one’s for you.

The robots can relax. I made these myself.

A few bits from the HHS archives and a reminder that in a world increasingly powered by AI, there is still something incredibly satisfying about making things with your own two hands.

The studio remains my favourite place to disappear to.

I’ve been doing a bit of digging through the archives as we hit five years of Henry Holland Studio and now I’ve got a problem. I can’t stop thinking about this colourway.

Am I being nostalgic or does this strawberry matcha combo deserve a comeback?🍵🍓

I wanted to make a mirror that felt more like a piece of furniture - a real statement piece. (Of course I did. When have I ever chosen the easy option?).

Something with real presence. A mirror that could hold its own in a room rather than simply hang around reflecting it.

After countless sketches, prototypes and a fair amount of overthinking, the “”FLOOR”” Mirror was born. Made from handcrafted ceramic elements and a generously oversized mirror mounted onto a solid wooden backing - all made in Hackney. It’s a favourite for a reason.
