Fatsia Japonica not to be sniffed at. It can thrive in shade, it flowers late in the season providing insects with nectar, birds love their blackberries and wildlife are protected in the dense foliage all year round. Did I mention that it also has beautiful glossy green leaves? Oh, and it’s evergreen. 💚
