Is your Obovata growing wonky leaves? 🙈
In my case the problem was the choice of medium and irregular watering that resulted in leaf deformity. Mine has grown in three different mediums: soil/coco chips, leca, and most recently Pon when she finally began growing larger and round leaves like the one you see here.

She’s currently in a homemade self watering system; using a 12cm orchid inner pot with 3mm nylon rope threaded up from the base as a wick and sitting inside a slightly larger orchid pot acting as a reservoir. There’s a core inside the pot that lifts up the inner pot at just the right height.
The larger pot and relatively small thread diameter means it draws up ‘less’ but consistent amount of moisture that hit the sweet spot for this Hoya. It’s not always a straight up solution for all plants but trialing and observing can help you learn and adjust. See items I use on Amazon via link in bio.
