Dark nights, turn on the lights! Looking back at this balau deck with all the straight lines..

We like our screws hidden, so used a combination of plugs and the awesome hidden screw system to make for a premium feel

We loved reviving this yellow balau deck!

To start; a biocide from to clear the algae buildup. Then onto the range; first brightening, then a sand and finally finishing with a penetrating oil.
Looking forward to seeing this one again in a few years…

Smooth delivery as always from

The access was difficult and working around the skylight was tricky, but we think this yellow balau deck in Dulwich Village turned out ok! It always seems to be these small projects that are the most technical..

As always we used the system for the no screw look and plugged any screws up against the house and skylight where we couldn’t use the camo tool.

With the skylight being a set size, we ‘rip cut’ the last three rows to give the impression of full boards and did the same up against the house. Can you spot the thinner boards?

The UC4 timber frame is built on a pedestal system with separation pads to protect the flat roof from piercing.

The job in Battersea with all the mitre joins! Our bit is finished, next up the electricians and tiler for a cool tiling frame between fence and wall. The client designed the shape of the deck to match the beds and it creates a lovely flow as you enter the garden.

Space maximisation is key when you have a large family home and a smaller London garden. We installed two custom benches, allowing us to retain the Acer and Olive tree the clients love and also giving extra seating and places for the kids to have to themselves in the garden.

Although small, this was a super technical job. 9 mitre joins in total and installing the benches onto existing rendered wall was challenging; and we won I think!

Thanks to champion for the materials, it’s an easy life when they’re your supplier!

A little bit of timber care goes a long way! The existing yellow balau deck and fencing needed some love; then some remedial work on the wall and a new privacy screen completes the transformation.
We used the range of products for the timber. Net-Trol to clean, Textrol rustic oak on the fence and medium oak on the deck.
Thanks to for the timber

If only balau always looked wet! Really pleased with how this turned out; some tricky install pieces like the hatch and picture frame on top of an existing wall tested our skills.
We used full length boards and to give the main area a super sleek, premium feel.

Looking back at the job with all the Balau! The different looks you get with hardwood is a big reason clients to choose it. We used the fixing system for the no screw look and plugged the step area where the camo tool doesn’t reach. It sure makes for a good photo..
Thanks to
for the timber
