After chimney removal and the moving of a wall to accomodate stairs for new loft and new doorway to middle bedroom, I lifted, staggered and repaired the flooring today. Lifting 120 year old boards without damage certainly takes some care.

Oh the fun we have. I do fit quite a few Velux blinds but not often one of these solar powered type, they're cool. If you want your blinds fitted cheap, send me a message, rather than screw the fixings in the wrong place yourself 😀

Complete burn off of old paint, rotten wood repair, sand down and paint ready for their new aluminium gutters and downpipes, they hate plastic. Lovely few days of weather mid March, radio on, enjoyable job.

Slighlty underestimated the work involved on this one as the paint was so deteriorated, also first ever coat on pebbledash. Need to remember how easier it is and quicker drying times when its summer 😎😁

This panelling I did today in Borehamwood is simply strips of mdf but really effective, a small dado moulding along the top edge to finish. I'm not painting this one just snagging and this, however will try and get a pic once finished.

Apologies in advance if you get notifications from this page, I'm going to be uploading quite a bit over next few days just to update it.

In Wanstead a quick but solid 2 day make over while scaffold up, certainly makes life a bit easier than up on a ladder. Wood taken back to bare, wood repair, 2 coats primer/undercoat 3 top coats not a problem when the weather is scorchio. 😀
