Twitter's data stream inspired us to depict the intricate patterns of communications into a physical form. We found inspiration in the mesmerising flight patterns of starling flocks, where thousands of birds create captivating formations in the sky. Leonardo da Vinci's ornithopter invention added another layer of inspiration, blending nature and human ingenuity.

2 weeks into 2019 and what a year 2018 has been for us. As we get started with a really exciting year ahead with some new projects we take a minute to look back at some of our 2018 highlights.

1. Wallpaper Article - Our Union Wharf project is featured in Wallpaper* magazine.

2. AJ Small Projects Shortlist - Our Union Wharf Project was shortlisted for the @ Small Projects 2018 Awards showcasing the best small projects completed in the past year.

3. Regent Street Windows L’Occitane Collaboration - We were selected by the RIBA in an international competition as a cutting edge RIBA practice to be paired with @ , one of London’s most prestigious retailers to create a stunning architectural installation inspired by the golden hour of Provence.

4. Dwell Article - Dwell named us as one of their '10 Best Architects to Follow on Instagram Right Now' list! ‘London–based Nicholas Szczepaniak Architects can be best described as a bold minimalists.’

5. Larch House, Islington, London, UK - Completion of our Larch House project comprising of an extensive refurbishment and reconfiguration of the existing building with a new contemporary and bespoke rear and side extension.

6. Cityscape Global Talks - Nicholas gives his talk on “Breaking the boundaries of traditional architectural practice” at the Cityscape Global Talks in Dubai.

7. Dezeen Article - Our Chaps & Co D3 barbershop is featured on Dezeen.

As part of the recent Clerkenwell Design Week, we've collaborated with McCaul Goldsmiths to design their shop front window display which explores a dialogue between the light reflecting qualities of McCaul's jewellery and the enigmatic quality of darkness.
