Just a few pictures of a little job we done recently of a roof that we put right for a customer. They had a felt roof which was leaking and someone had just applied a fibre glass system over the felt and stones but it was done badly, had holes and was holding water under it.

Little job completed on Friday. The slabs were all up and down and some loose with most of the pointing missing.
So we lifted all the slabs, cleaned off the sand and cement, layed a concrete base, fitted drainage and a soakaway and relaid the slabs.

So today's job was to make a manhole to connect up new drains.
As we made the first cut water started pouring out which could only mean we had blocked drains.
Quick call to Thames Water who where brilliant and cleared the manhole at the end of the road within 30 minutes of the phone call.
They believe it was caused by people flushing wet wipes (please don't flush wipes). Once the water had drained away we could carry on.

Sorry it been awhile. Had to shield during covid for family members.
Happy to say we started a new little ground floor extension on Monday.
Had fun finding drains as 3 houses in a row have all covered their manholes and the drains was not where we expected them to be.
We are using Stroma for our building control who have been brilliant.
Its well underway now.

2.1m at the deepest stepped foundations with clay boards.
All new drains.
215mm block work
175 x 45mm timbers
120mm insulation with 11mm osb on the roof.

So we started a bathroom renovation on Monday. So far we have removed all wall and floor tiles , bricked up part of a window and fitted a new smaller energy efficient Upvc window, created a false ceiling plaster boarded and plastered, dot and dab the walls as we had to go back to brick work. Run a new lighting supply from consumer unit as there was no earth, fitted 3 new fire rated IP65 LED down lights, relocated all hot and cold water pipes to new locations, built boxing and a base for a shower and fitted a shower tray.
Ready to start tiling on Monday.
