Currently going through planning with the Lawn Mews, an exciting residential development of 5 high quality terraced houses. The name references “The Lawn”, a villa that occupied the space circa 1872, when Clapton was known as the Farm on the Hill. Located on a derelict garage plot, the scheme is informed by the industrial typologies of the adjacent Tram Depot site.

We recently designed a small new built development of three identical London houses, aptly called the Triptych, and we were asked to extend our design to the interior, creating a soft, timeless character. This is what we came up with for the living space, which will be completed in the next couple of months - sneak peek progress photo included. We are very happy to share that our red brick scheme for the transformation of a derelict warehouse into a live/work unit has received approval after winning an appeal. It was proven that most policies that were thrown at us were misused by the council. It is sad to see small quality developments struggle to get permission when huge inconsiderate blocks sail through planning, but we are happy that our client chose to fight and not give up!

We have been extremely busy, hence the radio silence, but we are finally able to share our proposals for the Tram Depot regeneration in Hackney, currently going through pre-app🤞 In our site model, you can see the Lawn Mews scheme, a 5 house residential development that references industrial elements as a formal language to transform a derelict garage plot.
