We have secured planning permission earlier this week for a rear extension remodelling in the Islington Poets Road conservation area.
The new scheme will see the failing flat roof gone and replaced with a multi-sloped wildflower green roof, the walls externally insulated, a triple glazed door and window installed in lieu of the clunky bi-folding doors and the study window at the level above enlarged to bring more light in. Two skylights will top the new roof funnelling light deep into the floor plan, while the main roof will be covered with PV solar panels.
Internally the kitchen has been redesigned to bring the functionality the current one is critically lacking, making sure the heart of the house fully supports this young family lifestyle.

We are pleased to have secured planning consent for this ‘just enough’ dormer and loft conversion in Highbury.
Just enough to run a staircase and access a new bedroom under the roof. The little one bed flat will be a two beds by the end of the Summer.
While taking cues from the window below, the arched design of the dormer optimises the volume required and allows a smooth connection to the hip roof.

We are proud to see Twin Pitches shortlisted for a London RIBA Award.
This project is a low-carbon deep retrofit on an Edwardian house highlighting the use of natural materials as a new standard.

A sunny morning from the terrace in Camden Square. It’s great to see the plants settling in nicely. The studio we built at the back of the garden is barely visible now! Looking forward to properly shoot this project later in the year.
