Make some noise!
Our Acoustic Barrier project has been shortlisted for the Architects Journal Small Projects Award 2021.

The new sculptural barrier aims to reduce the pedestrian experience of noise pollution in two ways; by reducing measurable noise levels, and by increasing perceptions of shelter from oncoming road traffic. The striking architecture of the design transforms what might have been an unremarkable civil engineering project into a useful, memorable public landmark.

The A12 noise barrier glowing in a bit of winter sun. To choose a colour that would look good on a new material and at this scale took tests including bespoke anodised samples and a large 1:1 prototype, which we examined in sun, shade, and under street lights. More at www.BeepStudio.co.uk
