The Bike Projects is a a charity that collects secondhand bikes, refurbishes them and donates them to refugees and people seeking asylum in the UK. ❤️

To date they have matched over 11,000 bikes to refugees and people seeking asylum. 🚲

What do I need to do?

🗺 Find your nearest drop-off point on their online map

🖥 Register your bike using their online form

⏰ Arrange a time with your drop-off point to bring in your bike

My top tip for decluttering… 👇🏻

Get it out the house ASAP 🚨

That way you can instantly feel the space you have created. 😀

It also stops you going through the bags and keeping things that you’ve already decided to let go of. You’ve done the hard work, don’t do it twice. ‼️

If you don’t have a car or can’t make it to the charity shop to drop off your donations there are a load of brilliant charities that do door step collections. 🚐

I’m a big fan of icollectclothes who take donations of used clothes and small domestic appliances. It’s free and super easy to use. ♻️

I always send my clients before and after photos post our time together. It gives them a huge sense of accomplishment as they can see how far they've come. 📸

It's very special when they send me texts like this back. ☺️

Why this works… 👀

When you want to bring something new into your wardrobe, let something go at the same time. ♻️

This way the amount of clothes you have will always fit into the space that you have. 👗

If the amount of clothes you currently have is overwhelming to start with then a big declutter might be a good starting point. 📦

Be honest about what you wear and how your clothes make you feel. 😀

Is there a clutter bug in your home? 🏡 🙋‍♀️

I think we can all be guilty of putting things down on an available surface now and then, my husband is particularly terrible when it comes to shelves! 🙄

The more you train your brain to put things away where they belong and not on any available space, the easy it becomes to maintain a clutter free home. 🧠

Try and keep this little tip in your mind and see if you can create a new habit.

Less clutter = More space

How does your home office make you feel? 💻🤔

But if you can create a calm environment to work in then it can make it much easier to focus on what you need to get done. ✨

Make things that you access all the time in easy reach and store the lesser used items away. Less on show= less clutter for the mind. 👌

Decluttering is easy, do you agree? 🤷‍♀️

My biggest tip is to start small. Be it the cutlery drawer, the mugs, the spices- start with something that doesn’t have a big emotional attachment and see how it goes.

You might even surprise yourself with how good it feels to let those out of date spices out of your life.

See how you feel after you declutter a few things. Does it make you want to do a little more?
