Philosophy
We aim to create gardens and landscapes that reflect the personalities of our clients and demonstrate sensitivity to the surrounding natural and built environment. Our designs are characterised by simplicity, restraint and a desire to introduce layers of depth and curiosity whatever the scale. Integral to our work is a motivation to explore the relationships between aesthetic and functi

on, complexity and simplicity and the natural and manipulated landscape. Where possible and appropriate we hope to use locally sourced materials and suppliers, ensuring the garden resonates with its surroundings. We investigate traditional and modern construction techniques and materials. Critical to each design is the softening influence of plants. In rural projects, detailed site analysis informs plant selection, allowing us to borrow ideas and themes from the natural environment. This source of inspiration is then blended with the visions of our clients. The conclusion is a dialogue where client, designer and landscape successfully combine.
