iture whilst supporting those who are in real need providing income to homeless, destitute and long term unemployed individuals. RenewEL Is a social enterprise business (SEB) set up to extend the help GrowTH night shelter charity offers to night shelter guests and other unemployed homeless people in the locality. We specialise in using reclaiming discarded wooden pallets and transforming them, through a unique process of charring and varnishing, into bespoke furniture pieces that are produced, then go on to sell to the public, alternatively pieces are made to order. The vision of RenewEL is to grow into a medium sized business that is able to provide full/part time work for hard to employ marginalised adults. In a sense I feel that the stories of many of the participants who come to RenewEL are echoed in of the discarded wooden pallets we reclaim to make the furniture pieces. It is richly rewarding for the participants to work with the wood, they are using their time constructively, learning new skills, starting something from scratch and seeing it through to the end.
