As promised... Below I have attached the final posters of my BA Part 1 Architecture degree ⬇️

The proposed EcoCampus on Bath Road South Car Park, Bournemouth exemplifies an innovative approach to architecture, integrated with the surrounding lower and upper gardens of Borunemouth to create a continuous natural environment teeming with flora and fauna.🌱🍃

At its core is a profound understanding of humanity's interconnectedness with nature. Constructed predominantly from glue lam, the campus buildings are designed to mimic the natural shapes and heights of the nearby trees, immersing visitors in a rainforest-like atmosphere. Solar panels on rooftops and a sophisticated rainwater harvesting system with cascading water chains further enhance its sustainable credentials.

Inspired by biophilic design principles, the campus harmoniously blends sustainable materials, expansive green spaces, and renewable energy systems to foster a regenerative built environment. Inside, triple-glazed windows optimize natural light and minimize energy loss, ensuring a comfortable indoor setting that balances illumination with effective shading. 🌿

Through meticulous site planning and architectural ingenuity, the layout encourages seamless interaction with the outdoors. Green roofs and living walls promote biodiversity and air quality, enriching the campus experience for students, faculty, and visitors alike. As they navigate the grounds, they are enveloped by the sights, sounds, and textures of the natural world, cultivating a deep appreciation for environmental stewardship.

By prioritizing sustainability in its design and operation, the campus serves as a living laboratory for ecological resilience and human well-being, showcasing how architecture can lead the way towards a more sustainable future.

Όπως υποσχέθηκα... Παρακάτω επισυνάπτω τις τελικές αφίσες της πτυχιακής μου εργασίας για το πρώτο μέρος του πτυχίου Αρχιτεκτονικής ⬇️

Η προτεινόμενη EcoCampus στο Bath Road South Car Park, Bournemouth, αποτελεί ένα καινοτόμο παράδειγμα αρχιτεκτονικής, ενσωματωμένο με τους γειτονικούς κάτω και άνω κήπους του Bournemouth, δημιουργώντας ένα συνεχές φυσικό περιβάλλον γεμάτο χλωρίδα και πανίδα.🌱🍃

Στο επίκεντρο του έργου βρίσκεται η βαθιά κατανόηση της αλληλεξάρτησης του ανθρώπου με τη φύση. Κατασκευασμένα κυρίως από κόλλα-λαμινάτο, τα κτίρια της πανεπιστημιούπολης έχουν σχεδιαστεί ώστε να μιμούνται τις φυσικές μορφές και τα ύψη των κοντινών δέντρων, προσφέροντας στους επισκέπτες μια αίσθηση τροπικού δάσους. Τα ηλιακά πάνελ στις οροφές και ένα προηγμένο σύστημα συλλογής βρόχινου νερού με αλυσίδες νερού ενισχύουν περαιτέρω την βιώσιμη δυναμική της.

Εμπνευσμένη από τις αρχές του βιοφιλικού σχεδιασμού, η πανεπιστημιούπολη συνδυάζει αρμονικά βιώσιμα υλικά, ευρύχωρους πράσινους χώρους και ανανεώσιμα ενεργειακά συστήματα, προάγοντας ένα αναγεννητικό δομημένο περιβάλλον. Στο εσωτερικό, τα τριπλά υαλοπίνακες βελτιστοποιούν το φυσικό φως και μειώνουν την απώλεια ενέργειας, εξασφαλίζοντας ένα άνετο εσωτερικό περιβάλλον που ισορροπεί τον φωτισμό με αποτελεσματική σκίαση. 🌿

Με προσεκτικό σχεδιασμό του χώρου και αρχιτεκτονική ευφυΐα, η διάταξη ενθαρρύνει την απρόσκοπτη αλληλεπίδραση με τον εξωτερικό χώρο. Οι πράσινες στέγες και οι τοίχοι με φυτά προάγουν τη βιοποικιλότητα και την ποιότητα του αέρα, εμπλουτίζοντας την εμπειρία της πανεπιστημιούπολης για φοιτητές, καθηγητές και επισκέπτες. Καθώς περιηγούνται στους χώρους, περιβάλλονται από τις εικόνες, τους ήχους και τις υφές του φυσικού κόσμου, καλλιεργώντας μια βαθιά εκτίμηση για την περιβαλλοντική διαχείριση.

Δίνοντας προτεραιότητα στη βιωσιμότητα στον σχεδιασμό και τη λειτουργία της, η πανεπιστημιούπολη λειτουργεί ως ένα ζωντανό εργαστήριο για την οικολογική ανθεκτικότητα και την ευημερία του ανθρώπου, δείχνοντας πώς η αρχιτεκτονική μπορεί να ηγηθεί προς ένα πιο βιώσιμο μέλλον.

Както обещах... По-долу прикачвам финалните постери на моята бакалавърска степен по архитектура, първа част ⬇️

Предложената EcoCampus на Bath Road South Car Park в Борнмът е иновативен подход към архитектурата, интегриран с околните долни и горни градини на Борнмът, създавайки непрекъсната природна среда, изпълнена с флора и фауна.🌱🍃

В основата си проектът има дълбоко разбиране за взаимосвързаността на човечеството с природата. Построени предимно от ламинирано дърво, сградите на кампуса са проектирани да имитират естествените форми и височини на близките дървета, потапяйки посетителите в атмосфера, подобна на дъждовна гора. Слънчевите панели на покривите и усъвършенстваната система за събиране на дъждовна вода с водни вериги допълнително подобряват устойчивите му характеристики.

Вдъхновен от принципите на биофилния дизайн, кампусът хармонично съчетава устойчиви материали, обширни зелени пространства и възобновяеми енергийни системи, за да насърчи регенеративната застроена среда. Вътре, тройно остъклените прозорци оптимизират естествената светлина и минимизират загубата на енергия, осигурявайки комфортна вътрешна среда, която балансира осветлението с ефективно засенчване. 🌿

Чрез внимателно планиране на терена и архитектурна изобретателност, разположението насърчава безпроблемното взаимодействие с откритите пространства. Зелените покриви и живите стени насърчават биоразнообразието и качеството на въздуха, обогатявайки кампусното преживяване за студенти, преподаватели и посетители. Докато се разхождат из кампуса, те са обгърнати от гледките, звуците и текстурите на природата, култивирайки дълбока признателност към екологичното управление.

Като дава приоритет на устойчивостта в своя дизайн и функциониране, кампусът служи като живо лабораторно пространство за екологична устойчивост и човешко благополучие, демонстрирайки как архитектурата може да проправи пътя към по-устойчиво бъдеще.

Absolutely thrilled to share that I've successfully completed my Bachelor’s degree in Architecture at Arts University Bournemouth! ✅

Our journey at AUB culminated yesterday with a Graduation Exhibition, celebrating the dedication and creativity we've all invested over the past three years.

A heartfelt thank you to my tutors, staff, classmates, and everyone involved for your unwavering support, insightful feedback, and for sharing the smiles, tears, sweat, and laughter along the way! 🤍

To my parents: Thank you for always being there for me and holding my hand. Thanks to you I am the person I am today! 🤍

I'm eagerly looking forward to the next chapter in my professional career and wish everyone the very best for the future!

Το ταξίδι μας στο AUB ολοκληρώθηκε χθες με μια Έκθεση Αποφοίτησης, γιορτάζοντας την αφοσίωση και τη δημιουργικότητα που όλοι επενδύσαμε τα τελευταία τρία χρόνια.

Ειλικρινείς ευχαριστίες στους καθηγητές μου, το προσωπικό, τους συμμαθητές και όλους όσους εμπλέκονται για την αδιάκοπη υποστήριξη, την πολύτιμη ανατροφοδότηση και για τις κοινές στιγμές χαράς, δακρύων, ιδρώτα και γέλιου! 🤍

Στους γονείς μου: Σας ευχαριστώ που ήσασταν πάντα δίπλα μου και με κρατούσατε από το χέρι. Χάρη σε εσάς είμαι ο άνθρωπος που είμαι σήμερα! 🤍

AN INSIGHT INTO LEVEL 6…🌿⬇️

The proposed environmental design and science university campus placed on Bath Road South Car Park, Bournemouth embodies a visionary approach to architecture, grounded in the fundamental interconnectedness between humanity and the natural world.

Central to its ethos is the recognition that humans are an integral part of nature, and thus, our built environment must harmonize with the surrounding ecosystem.

Drawing inspiration from biophilic design principles, the campus seamlessly integrates sustainable materials, green spaces, and renewable energy systems to create a regenerative built environment.🌿

Why is site investigation important?

It allows the designer to spot the strength and weaknesses of the surrounding area.

Having walked multiple times and area around the Bath Road Car Park I’ve never really looked properly, acknowledging what’s actually around me. I’ve had one goal - reach my destination.

But this walk opened my eyes and made me see past the bigger picture. Materiality, paths, seating spaces, animals, trees, communal spaces, shared spaces, key and smaller buildings, people and all those stuff important for the design of a key building on a key site.

This video is small representation of what I’ve been looking at most times passing around these places and the things that are actually around me. It is also showing the small details on each one of the taken paths.

The Co-Existence

These resin cubes encapsulate a dual narrative. One shows mirrors of how people currently view nature, indicating fractures and distorted reflections conveying a fragment connection.

The other one, pure landscapes the harmonious coexistence encapsulated, illustrating the ideal relationship between humans and nature.

L6T1 Metamorphosis: Empowering Humanity's Impact (A1 Visualisation)

This visualization piece aims to show the Earth delicately suspended between two interconnected realms. The right side represents the flourishing ecosystem representing the nature. The left side represents the human creations - buildings.

This centerpiece illustrates the delicate balance, empasizing that the human hand has the power to tip the scale towards a future where people and nature coexist in harmony.

L6T1 The Arboreal Essence: A Fusion of Humanity and Nature (1:20 Model Representation)

This sculpture aims to show the unity between people and anture - a human tree. The bottom half brigns the elements of nature, symbolizing the connection to the Earth, highlighting that our existence is fundamentally rooted in the natural world. As trunk ascends, it transforms into diverse human figures.

This piece conveys the idea that our lives are interwined with the ecosystem, emphasizing the symbolic relationship between humanity and nature.
