A little palette cleanser for the next few days after the madness that was Salute! I felt so bad speaking to having to admit I hadn't actually painted any of the minis I bought last year I thought I would😆 Early days on this, just a bit of primer and underpainting with Foundry Drab. I use loads of different brands depending on the individual characteristics of the colours, and I like to use transparent layers and build up from there, not unlike watercolour techniques on paper.

Just got home from ! I managed to get a Commended Entry in the painting competition! I'm over the moon, wasn't expecting it at all after all the problems I had with the model, PLUS running out of time and having to block colours in and mask areas with splashes of blood 😆 Thank you for the amazingly run show, all you volunteers did an amazing job!
Now I'm going to rest, tomorrow I'll post better photos and go into detail what a clusterferk painting this model was 🤣

Yes, I broke out the airbrush! After some fiddly fiddling and spare parts the bu**er seems to be working!

I'll give it a proper go this weekend on some models.
