Such an honor to have one of the projects that we have been working on shortlisted in the mixed use category for the awards. We have been working in the Harringay Warehouse district alongside for over two years - exploring ways to make a more equitable landscape strategy, and looking at human centric ideas for improving the public realm. Most recently we have had the pleasure of working with on this site - embedding the first purpose built warehouse living units into the existing district and improving the quality of the public amenity spaces.

For all the things we design, sometimes nature just takes over. I’m lucky enough to have this space right beside my house - and spending time there listening to the birds is enormously beneficial to mental well-being, productivity, and probably my blood pressure. This is mental health awareness week - so much of what we do when we think about mental well being in the urban environment is about interacting with nature. Taking those precious minutes to feel the grass under your feet , or smell the heady scent of cow parsley can make a huge difference to your day.

What a wonderful day we had at the community planting on Langton Rise! It was so nice to see everyone in the street come together and make our Langton Rise safer, brighter and more beautiful. A big thank you to all the volunteers who to make this event a success, the Tewkesbury Lodge Residents Association and the for making it happen.
The new planting helps connect us with nature and brightens up the area, making it welcoming for all.

💫 The Pineapples 2023 awards have just started and we are thrilled to have been shortlisted with our community garden in Copeland Park, Holdron’s Green.

Holden’s Green is up for an award in the Activation: Reuse category and our director Ruth will be presenting it to the judges this afternoon. Join her from 1:30 pm – 3:40pm to hear more about this new, green, pocket-park in the heart of Peckham.

This week is children’s mental health week.

Mental health and Well-being is so integral to our work , and building that from childhood is so important.

Integrating play at every level in the design of the urban realm is crucial to a child’s feelings of being welcome. Even at the most basic level, constant signs of what they aren’t allowed to do can add to feelings that they are unwelcome, and question self esteem.

These benches are designed to be moved , jumped on and played with and planting is sensory and joyful.

Please let us know if you have a space large or small that you feel would benefit from a touch of playful design.
