Every finished room starts with an empty one and a lot of decisions. The measuring, the "What if we did this?", and the moments of standing in an empty space trying to picture how it will actually feel to live in. This sitting room went through all of it, and now it works exactly as it should: a favourite armchair, books within easy reach, cups on the coffee table, and conversations that carry on long after the tea has gone cold.

Inspired by our Dark Japandi Oak kitchen range, this is the kind of space that fits naturally around the day - breakfast while the house is still quiet, something quick at the island, or dinner that carries on long after the plates are cleared. Light, calm, and comfortable, it’s a kitchen that makes spending time here feel effortless.

Some of the best moments happen behind doors that quietly disappear into the design. The breakfast bar neatly tucked behind pocket doors keeps coffee and morning basics close at hand, making mornings feel a little more organised.

Douglas Fir veneer, spray-painted fronts, and Arctic Ice Corian worktops create a calm backdrop around integrated appliances, while the island with its fluted Douglas Fir end panels naturally becomes the place where everyone gathers.

Alongside it, the home bar sits behind smoked glass framed in black powder-coated metal, with stepped marble platforms, warm LED lighting, and an antique mirror splashback bringing bottles and glassware into view. Clean lines, integrated handles, and carefully chosen details, including a concealed lift-up plug socket within the countertop, keep the space feeling clean and connected from one end of the kitchen to the other.

The way a home feels often comes down to how easily it supports the day. At the entrance, quarter-cut walnut joinery creates a place for coats, shoes, and daily basics, with a floating shelf keeping the things reached for most close at hand.

Moving through the home, sliding smoky glass doors allow the kitchen and living area to open up or become more private when needed. A cabinet in the media wall quietly sets the tone for the evening, its doors opening to reveal glassware and bottles organised within the joinery, ready for time with friends.

The joinery that gets noticed most is often the kind that quietly becomes part of daily life. In the guest bedroom, walls upholstered in Ticking Stripe are paired with niche shelves brush-painted in 'Hickory', while the bespoke bed joinery includes push-to-open drawers that keep subtle storage close at hand. The second bedroom takes a more playful direction, with purpose-designed niches set within tongue-and-groove panelling, cricket ball handles on cabinets brush-painted in 'Ode', and push-to-open drawers helping the joinery fit neatly within the eaves.

In the living room, bespoke shaker-style joinery, brush-painted in 'Cass', is paired with bespoke lighting and sockets, creating a calm backdrop for daily life. The bar pairs a copper-aged single-bowl sink with an antique brass tap complete with a water filter. In the master bedroom, solid oak shelving with a whitewash lacquer finish is crafted into the alcoves on either side of the bed. In the office, solid oak alcove joinery pairs with a handcrafted solid oak bolection fireplace, creating a room designed for quieter moments.

Every room is carefully thought through, every detail worth noticing, and all of it designed to feel like home.
