The Norfolk seaside town’s Venice-inspired boating lake has recently re-opened to the public and returned to use for the first time in a decade following a £2.7m restoration. The restoration of the Grade II-listed Venetian Waterways began in June 2018 and was funded by a £1.7m grant awarded through The National Lottery Heritage Fund with further support from Great Yarmouth borough council, New Anglia LEP and the Government. The lake and island cafe have been refurbished, with work to re-instate bridges, shelters and gardens.

Day 3 of Tim's tour. This is the big one! The astonishing Margravine's Opera house in Bayreuth. Recently subject to a major overhaul. The stage has been levelled and modern systems incorporated but the conservation work is of a high standard.

The Yaa Centre provides a home for the Carnival Village Trust as well as the Association of British Calypsonians, Ebony Steel Band and Yaa Asantewaa. Dedicated to the promotion of Carnival Arts, the centre accommodates workshops, teaching rooms, rehearsal and performance facilities, exhibition spaces, an Internet Café, a bar, kitchen and administrative offices.

The building incorporates rainwater harvesting, a bio-diversity roof, swift boxes and large triple-glazed rooflights with solar shading to maximise internal daylight levels whilst limiting solar gain. FWA completed this project in 2011.

Hoxton Hall is listed Grade II* and is a very rare surviving Victorian music hall first opened in 1863.
During a careful and considerate renovation the entrance was remodelled to create a welcoming foyer and box office, and the back stage facilities, rehearsal rooms, meeting rooms and dance studios have been improved following extensive consultation with the building users. The renovation was completed in 2015.

The Quarry Theatre at St Luke’s has been created from a redundant Grade II listed Moravian church and Minister’s House to create a new performing arts centre for Bedford School and the local community.

The church has been converted into a 300 seat galleried courtyard theatre, and the Minister’s House restored to provide front of house facilities, offices and a studio, with the addition of a new foyer and backstage extension at the rear. This project was completed in 2015.
