The eyes are always my favourite part of creating a portrait. They hold so much emotion and personality. I love studying the subtle reflections and depths of colour that make each gaze unique. Capturing their light is what brings the artwork to life 💚

Another little win... art competitions are so subjective and not in any way necessary to be a successful artist, having said that, after putting so much into a piece of art, it is a lovely feeling to have that recognised by a jury of professional artists ☺️💚🐾
