Another successful company-wide Health & Safety training day as part of our ongoing commitment to improving standards, supporting our team, and creating a safer working environment across the business.

As a landscaping business, health and safety is something we take extremely seriously. Our teams work in physically demanding environments every day, often using machinery, lifting heavy materials, and working in changing site conditions. Ensuring everyone understands how to identify and manage risks is essential for both safety and wellbeing.

We also believe mental health awareness is just as important as physical safety. Creating an open and supportive workplace helps ensure our staff feel valued, supported, and able to perform at their best.

Training days like this are an important step in addressing areas where we can improve as a business and continuing to raise standards for both our staff and our clients.

A big thank you to everyone involved in today’s session and to our Health & Safety advisor for helping us continue moving in the right direction. A special thanks to Andy Hooke, our new health and safety consultant for chairing this!

Our in house designer is currently working on a design to create a more open and cohesive space for a client. Rather than dividing the garden into separate areas, the intention is to achieve a more fluid, “all-in-one” environment that feels larger, more connected, and easier to enjoy as a whole. We are excited to get the ball rolling with this!

Today marks the first day of training with our new Health & Safety Advisor, Andy Hooke.

As a business, we are committed to continuously improving the way we work, not only to maintain high standards across our operations, but also to support the wellbeing and safety of our team.

This training is an important step in addressing areas where we can improve, strengthening our processes, and ensuring we continue to build a positive and safe working environment for everyone.

We believe that recognising shortcomings and taking proactive steps to improve is essential for long-term growth, and we’re looking forward to working closely with Andy moving forward.

Last week, it was an honour to support the University of East London ahead of the visit from Catherine, Princess of Wales to the Stratford Health Campus for the launch of a new educational guide supporting those working with babies, young children and their families. 👑
At Phil Franklin Landscapes Ltd, we were proud to help ensure the grounds were looking their very best for such a special Royal occasion. 🌿

Spring is well and truly underway and our site in E11 is looking stunning. The Iris's never disappoint, this is always a site that is a pleasure to maintain. Looking forward to the upcoming months!

One of our favourite gardens to maintain, currently undergoing a renovation with a Japanese inspiration. It is a pleasure to be part of such a wonderful design and we really cannot wait to see the finished product.

Second visit at our new site in Cambridge, we are delighted to be able to work with such a beautiful landscape. This particular contract is keen to create and preserve pockets of wildlife which we are of course, more than happy to accommodate.

Following some amazing interviews lately, we are rapidly growing as a business. We aim to create an environment where people can hone their career and really find themselves in the world of horticulture. We are excited to welcome new employees as well as cultivate our current ones. We look forward to watching our new staff grow within the business!

Andy has built quite a reputation within the health and safety world, encouraging mental health awareness, mitigating risks in the work place and operating with the environment in mind.
