Our Highbury entertaining garden certainly gets lots of attention online and in print. Congratulations to shortlisted for features photographer of the year by the awards!

We invited Jo to photograph this garden during the day and at night over 2 years to appreciate the richness of texture and atmosphere created by the planting and materials and it was certainly worth it. Thanks as always to our client Mary for accommodating us.

There’s no colour in my garden now!

Try these:
🌱 Salvia ‘Royal Bumble’ - it’s been flowering its heart out for months and won’t stop until the frosts.

🌱 Dahlia ‘Waltzing Mathilda’ amazing deep foliage and vibrant multi toned flowers that will keep giving as long as you dead head it.

🌱 Rudbeckia ‘Goldsturm’ - starts flowering in July/August at a point where everything else has disappeared.

Some Achillea and Crocosmia are just hanging on and are also must haves for late summer colour.

A garden re-imagined for ultimate outdoor living, creating a vista that connects a previously underused area of the garden of this generous and unusually shaped plot in SW London. A palette of soft, natural materials was selected to be crafted into level changes and subtle changes in texture to elevate this outdoor space to match the elegance and proportions of our clients home.

Planting is layered to provide privacy and an integration in level changes providing both seasonal interest and evergreen cover.

In its first season, this large walled garden in Blackheath is establishing well with new planting sitting against some well established specimens and a stunning neighbouring backdrop of shrubs and trees. The design creates various journeys through the space with numerous destinations including a luxurious garden studio and bar, outdoor kitchen and fire pit area.

Fab team effort for equally fab clients. It’s been a joy to watch this project come together!

When we first saw this space it was an echoey yard that had been landscaped to death. Huge concrete stairs dominated the space and left a soulless void between the house and the small remains of a garden at the rear, cloaked in plastic grass and rendered beds.

Prior to our client owning the property meandering paths flowed through an abundance of shrubs and trees with a secret garden feel where wildlife could thrive. Our client gave us the brief of re-introducing this spirit into the space, making a safe and exciting space for the kids to explore and play alongside nature and wildlife.

“We commissioned Garden Club to undertake our garden project and we couldn’t be happier with the final result. Tony & the team were such a pleasure to work with from start to finish, super collaborative. We are amateur gardeners so we were keen for low maintenance planting, which also tied in with our references to Piet Oudolf and the overall mediterranean feel we wanted from the space. GCL have impeccable attention to detail, from the planting designs we received to the super high quality of work carried out during the actual installation and the materials used. If you are looking to transform your garden, we cannot recommend these guys enough!

“I think I’ve always wanted to be a photographer, or at least work with images in some shape or form from a very early age. It all began in the 1970s with my fascination with Jacques Cousteau. His television series about the undersea world completely mesmerised me and sparked what would become a lifelong love of photography”

We worked closely with our client and architects to transform a dilapidated ‘yard’ into a serene and green sanctuary. Architectural and landscaping materials were carefully selected and laid out to flow through the stunning kitchen extension into the garden to give an abundant and immersive garden experience from interior and whilst enjoying the outdoor space.
