I offer all aspects of interior & exterior decorating, from standard white emulsion to truly natural paints (great for you, your children & the environment), I also offer special effects including gilding and sparkle walls. For large areas I utilise spraying, and when sanding I use the ultra-low dust Mirka connected to the Festool extractor. My paperhanging service includes
lining, pattern matched, digital prints, and even fabric walls. Carpentry:
Besides specialising in sash window refurbishments, (new cords/draught-proofing & repairs) my carpentry expertise extends to bespoke floating shelves, bookcases, storage units, headboards, children’s furniture and facsimiles of contemporary or mid-century modern furniture. Handyman:
Sometimes you just need an hour of someone’s time who can get the job done with the right tools and the minimum of fuss. The handy-man work I am often called upon to carry out includes but is not limited to:
• Fixing sticking doors, hinges, replacing closers & locks.
• Shelves, mirrors, pictures, displays, TV’s fitted, mounted & hung.
• Assembling furniture, (with access to StreetCar vans by the hour, I am also able to take you to IKEA if required!)
• Security bars made & fitted.
• Paperhanging - from lining to digital.
• Changing light shades & bulbs.
• Painting – from a small area to an entire shop.
• Bespoke shelving, built-in storage & displays.
• Sash windows – new cords fitted, draught-proofing, refurbishment. About me:

All my works are carried out to the highest standards at a competitive price and at your convenience – including evenings, night-time or weekends. My experience includes carpentry and decorating on large building sites, small domestic properties and theatrical set-building. So whether you just require a magnolia wall or a contemporary piece of furniture why not give me a call? (Price-work applies for decorating & carpentry.) If I only require a small amount of tools and no ladders, I can use my trusty Lambretta. Otherwise the congestion charge (if you live inside The Zone) and parking fees may apply. (Visitor permits are often available from your local authority). I strive to keep my pricing competitive, overheads sensible, and my quality high. I have no hidden extras. Within reason, if you require a small amount of filler, caulk, abrasives or fixings I supply these from my stock. There’s no point in your buying a box of filler for 4 holes or a box of screws if you only need 2 is there? FOR HANDYMAN WORKS: I need to allocate the appropriate tools & fixings I think are needed for each job. This is why I will ask you for as much information (and if possible photos) about the task prior to booking to deliver the absolute best service I can so my clients will recommend and return to me when needed. If you have a job that may take a day or longer I of course price according to that job or a day rate where appropriate, this can work out much cheaper for you. Monday to Friday 8am – 6pm - £60per hour, thereafter £30per half hour. Anytime outside these hours - £80 per hour, thereafter £40 per half hour. The only additional charges are when a vehicle is required for tools/materials/ladders. Those charges are congestion charge & parking fees. (Your local authority will often supply visitor permits.) DECORATING & CARPENTRY RATES are priced according to the work required. I work to a day rate of £250. It is of course best when I can visit in order to price for decorating works. For bespoke carpentry works the more information you supply the easier it is to price. Of course, all quotations are free. I have no hidden charges! I work across London, and when clients require, anywhere else on the planet! I strive to keep my rates competitive. Based upon the Top 10 Google searches, my HandyMan rates are up to 50% less! Again, my décor and carpentry rates are competitive. However, should you require cheap work, there are others available who offer this.
