A week in the life of an LSA first‑year student: Amelia Heath ✨
 
A typical week as an LSA first-year student is spent studying at the Dalston studio on Monday and Tuesday, then working in practice from Wednesday to Friday, with plenty of fun in between!
 
1️⃣ A day at the LSA laying out ideas to help with the editing of the critical manifesto.
 
2️⃣ Run time along the Thames Path!
 
3️⃣ A meal out with some clients from Amelia’s work at Hale.
 
4️⃣ A step workout class with friends from the LSA.
 
 
5️⃣ Another day at the LSA spent developing work from the day before and analysing images and texts used in the critical manifesto.
 
6️⃣ Sip and paint night with wine and painting on mini canvases.
 
7️⃣ Six nations rugby game watching Englans vs Wales!

We are pleased to share Yang Yang Chen, Part 0 Lead at the London School of Architecture (LSA), has won the Young Talent Award at the Inspire Future Generations awards 2025.

The judging panel noted Ya Ya’s commitment to long-term, strategic youth engagement evident in the practice RC/YYC’s projects, as well as Ya Ya’s impact on improving access to architecture as Part 0 Lead at the LSA, stating she is “an exceptional individual whose impact on young people is helping them gain confidence and access opportunities.”

Yang Yang said “It’s a real privilege to be acknowledged by such a fantastic panel of judges for the work that I am doing to shape the built environment in an equitable way through my practice, RC/YYC and to improve access to built environment professions through the London School of Architecture’s Part 0 programmes for young people!

It was wonderful to see the London School of Architecture full with students, staff and supporters again this week after a well-deserved winter break. We even had a rare flurry of snow in Dalston!

Last night, we hosted an event for the London School of Architecture Practice Network at our Dalston Studio.
 
It was fantastic to see the LSA community come together to celebrate one another as we enter a new era with Lee Ivett as Head of School and as part of

We were delighted to welcome alumni spanning the past 10 years, from our founding cohort to 2025 graduates, as well as practices both new to the LSA and long-standing supporters.

We are excited to reveal that the London School of Architecture is taking part in The Gingerbread City® London 2025!
 
Our fantastic MArch student team have created a gingerbread structure inspired by the LSA building for this year’s display at Coal Drops Yard, King’s Cross.

Yesterday we welcomed the 2025–27 cohort of students to the London School of Architecture!

We first opened our doors in 2015, and ten years on in 2025, we’re excited to begin a new chapter as part of the University of the Built Environment ().

A huge thank you to HEAL () for joining us yesterday and running a brilliant workshop with our students.
