We have one last late night event for this year, we’ll be joined by our friends for locally brewed beer (beer related gifts also available) and bratwurst! Our shop and cafe will be open til 9pm serving mulled wine, cakes and festive cheer 🎄see you there 🎅

Hi All, our last day of trading this year will be Sunday 22nd December 10-5. We’re going to close as usual in January & will reopen in February (we haven’t decided when yet so keep your eyes peeled on here 😀).
Thank you so very much to all our customers, staff, suppliers & friends who have supported us this year and others - we really appreciate it 👏 it means we can continue to run a creative and independent business that we cherish.

Our Christmas trees are landing very soon 🎄🌲🎄available for collection or local delivery from 20th November. We stock only the best quality UK grown trees, working with the same family run business for the last 12 years. We’re passionate about supporting other independent businesses who are invested in producing quality products.
Our fir trees are grown in south east England & our spruces in Yorkshire. are committed to sustainably growing quality trees, maintaining their local wildlife & keeping their carbon footprint low, head over to their website to learn more about the work they do.
To order your tree with us, come by our shop or call on 0208 778 4145. Orders placed by 29th November qualify for a 10% discount. Local delivery available at £8.

Leontopodium alpina Waltzmann. Commonly know as Edelweiss, perfect low growing alpine plant for a sunny spot
Eryngium varifolium. Beautifully thorny holly like foliage and white to blue thistle flowers
Melianthus major. A wonderful architectural perennial with dusty green foliage. Mature plants will bear a purple crimson drooping flowers
Mina lobata. Indigenous to Mexico, this makes for a great long flowering annual climber
Rosa alpina Cutie Pie. This alpine rose has lovely pink white open flowers, doesn’t grow much over 40cm high so perfect for pots and containers

We are open as normal all through the extended bank holiday this week.
Our hours as usual are 10-5 Tuesday to Sunday.
We have 2 very nice big deliveries coming in this week so we are full of wonderful things to be planted out. With the four day weekend allowing a bit of time to get in the garden, we have a fantastic range of herbaceous perennials for Summer and Autumn colour, bedding for pots and containers, and plenty of herbs and edibles.

Early deliveries in this week means we are packed to the rafters with loads of lovely and unusual plants to suit whatever you should need.
Leptinella ‘Platts Black’. A mat forming evergreen with bronze tinted foliage
Macleaya ‘Coral Plume’. Also known as Plume Poppy, this summer flowering perennial will grow upto 2m tall and bears large white feathery panicles of pink flowers
Anisodontea capensis. This ‘Cape Mallow’ is a deciduous shrub that wants full sun to show off it’s delicate pink flowers
Saxifraga urbium ‘London Pride’. This variegated variety keeps its leaves all year round and flowers in April-May
Musella lasiocarpa. This is an unusual dwarf Chinese Banana. Fully hardy and growing to 1.5m, it has lovely yellow globular leaves
Eucomis ‘Sparkling Burgundy’. Also known as pineapple flower, this variety has dark purple waxy leaves and shows tall plumes of white and pink bottlebrush shaped flowers
Dahlia ‘Bishop of Llandaff’. A reliable variety with bright open red blooms and bronze purple foilage
Lewisia. These are a great semi-hardy alpine plants for rockeries or any fast draining beds or containers
