I find that the kitchen backsplash is often an ignored area in most homes. Builders often don’t install a backsplash due to cost and effort. Well I think it should be one of the first purchases when designing your new kitchen. My kitchen backsplash is tinted glass in sand colour just like the cabinets. I love the look and depth that it gives. It is also very easy to keep clean (ok I have a few OCDs 🤭)

When we face an environment that already has many details, there is no use trying to hide them. In my opinion, it is far better to embrace these details in our interior designs. The photo above is a case in point. It is a where we replicated the geometric shapes both on the floor in in chevron as well as on the rug, cushions and furniture to create a harmonious ambience. Sea blues and duck egg blues are all calm and serenity, making them the perfect antidote to our 24/7 lives. You don’t need a home by the sea to enjoy them, though they do work really well with mahogany or any dark wood and country style furniture in whites or very pale timbers.

It's hard to deny the appeal of the twinkling lights and festive decorations sprinkled throughout the house during Christmas. And it's sad to see those cheerful holiday decorations come down after the holiday is over. This living room above is still a working in progress but our client couldn’t be happier with the results.
