Hello! We are selling our ex-display units from our Hoxton Showroom. The available runs are listed on our website and will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis.

The showroom will be open Thursday 18th April 10am-4pm for walk-ins.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
February 2024

In 2012, we launched British Standard Cupboards – a range for customers looking for a simple, well-made alternative to the bespoke joinery offered by our sister brand and parent company, .

In recent months, Plain English have received an increased volume of sales as a result of their fantastic new flagship showroom in Pimlico, London and expansion across the USA. The entire capacity of our Suffolk workshop, which is shared with Plain English, is now needed to meet this demand.

Therefore, the decision has been taken to cease production of British Standard Cupboards and instead focus the business on the growth of Plain English Design and its production of Plain English joinery.

Our order book is full and we will not be taking any new orders for British Standard Cupboards.

We will be closing our Hoxton Square Showroom, and our design service will no longer be available.

All current orders will be fulfilled as expected over the coming months. If you have recently placed an order with us or are awaiting a completion date, this change will not affect your order. We will continue to supply add-ons and customer support for all existing customers.

We have built up quite a fan base over the last 12 years and have become dear to many people’s hearts. We have had a wonderful team behind us, helping to look after our clients and build our reputation. We thank you all for your dedication and support.

Plain English offers ‘PE30’ a supply-only range of cupboards. If you would like to explore an alternative to British Standard, please visit Plain English’s Pimlico showroom and explore the range at:
