Are you currently a serving member of HM Forces or are you in the process of going through resettlement to enter civilian life?

Perhaps you’re considering a career in Close Protection (CP) and are looking to complete your training with a well-known and respected training provider who is also ELCAS registered.

If you are then this post regarding the ELCAS process is definitely valuable information you’ll want to know and remember.

Firstly, what is ELCAS

The ELCAS scheme is designed for members of the Armed Forces and provides financial support for higher-level training courses. Excellentia Global is an ELCAS Approved Training Provider and therefore we are able to support individuals looking to access financial support under the scheme.

The ELCAS Process

1. You have to register to become a Scheme Member. You must accrue a sufficient amount of service before you can submit a claim. See ELCAS for further details.

2. Submit an enquiry to Excellentia Global for the course you want to attend, and we will send you the details needed for your ELCAS claim form.

3. Complete the ELCAS claim form. Note. You must gain approval from an authorised member of the Military Education Staff.

4. ELCAS will then check your eligibility for funding and if approved, will send you a Claim Authorisation Note (CAN).

5. Once you have received your CAN, you then forward that to Excellentia Global who will then enrol you onto the course. We will then require you to pay the outstanding balance of your student contribution (20%). You MUST submit your CAN to Excellentia Global to successfully enrol on the course.

6. Finally, upon completion of the programme, you must complete a Course Evaluation Form via the ELCAS website. This confirms to ELCAS that you actually attended the course.

Claimants are required to pay a minimum of 20% of the course fee for each ELCAS claim and the MOD will fund the remainder up to the claimant's tier limit.

Retrospective ELC claims are not permitted.

It’s important to remember that claim forms must be received by ELCAS at least 25 clear working days prior to the course start date. You must ensure that you have enough time to receive the Claim Authorisation Note (CAN) to then present it to Excellentia Global

It is important that you do not set up a loan/credit agreement for the full amount under any circumstances.

Don’t pay a deposit before you receive your Claim Authorisation Note (CAN).

21/07/2021

The Ministry of Defence's Enhanced Learning Credits Administration Scheme (ELCAS) promotes lifelong learning amongst members of the Armed Forces. The scheme provides financial support in each of a maximum of three separate financial years for higher level learning of a nationally recognised qualification at Level three or above.

As an accredited provider to ELCAS, we provide learning opportunities for our Armed Forces leavers. We want to ensure we assist in the administrative process as much as possible, so it’s important to remind all of our potential students that ELCAS takes up to 25 days to administer your claim for education support.

If you’re interested in gaining a Close Protection qualification as part of your transition into civilian life, then please take a look at our scheduled course dates, and new payment options here: https://lnkd.in/dbMTaTw or email our training department [email protected]
