A view from The Hill.

It's Finals Weekend at !

During one of the world’s most prestigious sporting events our Media Pavilion will have hosted nearly 2,000 player interviews across a series of internal and external spaces.

The design concept responds to the All England Club’s theme of ‘Tennis in an English Garden’ - a glass pavilion, containing a series of objects in the landscape, sheltered by a canopy overhead. The Media Pavilion has an important relationship with the landscape, bringing together private interview rooms with informal interview spaces inside and outside, and broadcast and presentation spaces on the lawn.

The grass court season is upon us - it’s time for tennis! This is a time of year close to our hearts as we see so many of our completed projects alive with the buzz of Wimbledon. Here, our AELTC Community Tennis Centre in Raynes Park overlooks the grass courts. The facility is used as an official professional practice venue in the run-up to Champs, and by the community year round design Photo by

Rain Rain Go Away… or maybe not? At the AELTC Community Tennis Centre, we have reduced the use of potable water for irrigation by over 80% through an integrated water management approach - Sustainable drainage (SuDS) in action.

We collect the rainwater in a way that imitates nature in planted swales and basins.

The site no longer floods.

Water is cleaned, stored and reused.

Nature thrives and biodiversity increases.

And look how pretty it is...

As spring begins to show itself, with crisp blue skies and cold sunshine, we reflect on how important inside-outside connections are to our work. A simple window seat looking out over a garden, for example, can make one feel like you’re on holiday, as one of our youngest clients remarked!….

““We are so happy with our kitchen extension, it has transformed the feel of our home and the way we live in it - becoming a bright and warm family space and bringing so much light into our home. We’ve already been able to host large gatherings for our family and friends in a way which wouldn’t have been possible before the extension. The window seat looking out into the garden is a particularly special element; while sitting in it recently our daughter said “I feel like I’m on holiday.” Thank you Langstaff Day!””

Thanks to and the great volunteers who facilitated us being able to open up our Corner House project this weekend. It’s been a privilege to be able to show our work to all the visitors who stoically queued to come and visit us. Mercifully the weather (mostly) held. See you next year!
