This customer had an ongoing issue with black spot mould that kept returning year after year, even after regular cleaning. The root cause wasn’t surface dirt — it was a cold bridging problem.

Cold bridging happens when there’s little or no insulation in certain areas (in this case, behind the rafters). Warm, moisture-rich air inside the home hits these colder surfaces, causing condensation — and that’s exactly what mould needs to grow.

🔧 What was done:
• Installed proper insulation to eliminate the cold bridge
• Reboarded the area with plasterboard
• Fully skimmed for a smooth, clean finish

Now the surface temperature is more consistent, reducing condensation and stopping the mould from coming back.

⚠️ Important to know:
Mould is often a symptom, not the actual problem. If it keeps returning, there’s usually an underlying issue like poor insulation, ventilation, or thermal bridging.
